Title: Sucker Punch

Summary: Some words are strong enough to break bones.
Nichkhun thinks that maybe he can remember someone once telling him that some words are nothing but invisible fists. If that's the case, then right now he should be tonguing at each of his teeth while the taste of copper wells up in the space between his gums and the inside of his cheek. The side of his face should be slowly fading into a bruise, his lips painted a vicious, liquid red. He glances down at his shoes for the blood splatters that aren't quite there.
And Wooyoung, he's shaking like he's just thrown the first punch of his entire life, like he's that little boy finally discovering just how much damage his fists can do. He's silent, lips trembling out of a dangerous mix of fear and determination. Nichkhun stares at him and feels something electric skitter up his spine, something sickening and head spinning and utterly addictive, and he needs to hear those words again, needs to feel the impact. Only Wooyoung isn't speaking anymore and, well. Nichkhun has never been the type to wait.
So everything gets cranked up to eleven and it's no longer heavy words slung across a suddenly too-small bedroom, but both of them standing a kiss and an uppercut's width away from each other and it's like they have all the time in the world. Then Nichkhun pushes Wooyoung and for the split second his hands touch Wooyoung's chest he doesn't feel like himself. There's skin and bones and organs-a heart; this is someone I know.
Right now, he should be taking it back, but he doesn't get that chance.
Arm meets wrist meets fist meets lips and teeth with a shock of adrenaline thrown in for good measure. Nichkhun stumbles back and when he licks his lips they taste a little like blood, a little like love.
"You're not special," Wooyoung finally repeats, startled and completely steady at the same time.
For once, Nichkhun can truly say he has stars in his eyes.
