lost_land - Challenge #4 - Big Bang - Ji Yeon Fanmix - "Left Behind"
Another fanmix for lost_land. This idea just randomly came to me. I was going to do an Aaron fanmix but couldn't settle on an 'older' version of him; so I went with Ji Yeon. Basically it's just a bunch of songs she would have listened to in her teenage years; being orphaned by her parents, never knowing her father and being raised by her strict grandparents.
Points for this challenge: 15.

Lonely, and missing the parents she wished raised her, Ji Yeon understands the need for love better than most people her age.
2: My Heart by Paramore.

We could sing our own
But what would it be without you?"
Ji yeon dreams of her mother and wishes she'd had much more time with her.

Walking home from school to the strict confines of her grandparents house; Ji Yeon scans the faces of passersby, wondering if by chance any of them could be one of the parents she so longs for.
4: I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For by Bonnie Tyler.

I have crawled,
I have scaled these city walls,
These city walls,
Only to be with you.
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for."
Orphaned, Ji Yeon always feels like something is missing in her life, and because her parents are both dead, she knows she'll never find exactly what she's looking for.

I always say how I don't need you,
But it's always gonna come right back to this,
Please, don't leave me."
Ji Yeon and her first serious boyfriend break up, and she is just overwhelmed with emotion at someone else leaving her.
6: Sick & Tired by Anastasia.

Of always being sick and tired.
Your love isn't fair,
You live in a world where you didn't listen,
And you didn't care.
So I'm floating,
Floating on air."
Ji Yeon wishes for another life; one where she didn't have to deal with the pain of being without her mother and father every day.

I tell my feet to move it,
I hope they have a plan."
Ji Yeon hates living with her grandparents, she hates their rules and she hates that she doesn't have her parents; she wants to run away.
8: The Shape Of You by Jewel.

Like a treasure that travels with me down every road.
There's this lonely loss so deep,
Kinda bitter,
Kinda sweet,
There a hole in my heart,
In the shape of you."
The hole in her heart is in the shape of her parents, Jin and Sun.
