Brief history of your character (100-200 words):
Dawn Summers doesn't really exist, well not in the way we think a person does. Flesh and blood she may be but inside she runs green. Once a glowing green ball of energy she was used to unlock any dimension, the ultimate key. And that's what she was known as; The Key. In 2000, Czech monks of the Order of Dagon continued to protect The Key, as they had done since the 12th century. The Key was a concentration of living energy that could be used to shatter the veil separating all dimensions. If used, The Key would cause dimensions to flood one into the other, merging until the energy of the Key was spent, thus sealing the dimensional tearing. The monks wanted to put this dangerous power to good use, however, they were attacked by Glorificus, a hellish goddess bent on returning to her home dimension regardless of the cost. In an act of desperation, the three surviving monks used powerful magics, as well as a portion of the Slayer's own essence to forge The Key into human form as a fourteen-year-old girl, then sending her to Buffy as a sister for protection. The monks also altered reality, as well as the memories of the Slayer, her family and friends, to make the now-human Key fit into the world. That's what she became, the sister to the vampire slayer herself; Buffy Summers. In reality Dawn is ageless yet she has only been of human essence for six months. Every memory of hers or anyone elses around her is fake. Fabrics of nothing woven together to make the blanket of her past.
However that blanket has slowly been starting to unravel in the past few months as it starts to become clear that not all is what it appears to be. It began with the ramblings of the mentally ill, and when her family and friends begin to act stranger and stranger whenever she walked into a room, Dawn decides to take matters into her own hands. Knowing that there is something she is not being told, she decides to break into the Magic Box, with a little help from Spike, determined to find the answers for herself. And so she succeeds in her mission, learning the truth of her origin through the written word of her sister's Watcher's Diary. It's not a revelation Dawn takes well.
Brief synopsis of your character's personality (100-300 words):
Dawn is your average 14 year old girl, if you discount the part where she is a mystical key and the little sister of The Slayer. She a little ball of hormones just waiting to explode and desperately wants to be treated like the adult she has yet to become. She doesn't want to be protected but she can't handle the truth. She can be a bit impulsive and does not always think through the consequences of her words and actions, which while a typical trait of a teen, is especially problematic when your sister is a slayer who more often then not, brings her work home with her. As a result, it's hard to feel special when your sister is a superhero and Dawn has been known to act out for attention as a result. However when she is not dealing with those issues, she is a bright and bubbly teen, who enjoys school, chocolate milkshake, terrible food experiments, and annoying her big sister. She is getting to a boy crazy age, and has a long standing crush on her sister's friend Xander. Despite her mystical origins, she is still just a girl trying to find out who she is and her place in the world.
What is your character's sexual orientation? (Bear in mind that any sexual orientation is welcome, but must be supported by or unknown/ambiguous in canon - see Rules and FAQ): She's straight, but she's only 14 so there will be no sexing for Dawnie, although that wont stop her from crushing on just about every attractive male who pays her any attention.

What skills does your character have?: Well she is a mystical key, but that wont really come into play. How about she can annoy her super sister in a thirty second span, she is extremely adept at getting kidnapped, and is very intelligent as she will eventually become a very good mini watcher.
