[...And with that he drops what he's doing and bolts for the library. He knows that every time it's always too late, that they're always long gone and there's nothing to do but wait. But damn if he's not going to try, because the one time he doesn't is the one time he could've done something about it.
So Adell arrives in the library, pile of books spilled on the floor, the window nearby shattered. Adell looked outside of it quickly. There was no trail to follow in what little snow was on the ground. He cursed to himself here, then moved only to pick up Koa's journal from the mess on the floor.]

He knows what she's talking about. The utter helplessness of this situation was far worse for her than it could ever be for him. She had managed to get out of here. To return home. And she wanted to return to help Koa... someone who was family to her. She all but sacrificed her very freedom to try to protect someone she cared so much about... and then to have her taken away like this...
