Keep me from my boredom so I don't do the sex meme though, okay. I will totally do it if I get bored enough.

Hmmm. Operation: Immortal Rehab is kind of failing miserably because YOU'RE NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH. When Yuca went and shot a person it was like, major step backwards in her mind. But afterwords he wasn't being as dumb about it as she thought he would be--but then she was like "why did he even shoot the guy in the first place?!" It still doesn't make sense to her and it STILL bothers her. Because she wants to try and understand so that she can help, but if you don't tell me I can't help you!! He hasn't done anything else like that (that she knows of) so for now it's fine, but she won't let him get away with it again!
Still fixing your immortality when I figure out how to fix immortality I'LL FIGURE IT OUT EVENTUALLY OKAY. I kind of imagine a chunk of her days are now spent wandering around the library pulling random books off the shelves and looking for things about immortality in them. Asking people didn't seem to get anywhere and while she didn't expect miracles, it was still kind of discouraging. She's trying to be positive about it but the longer she stays here and doesn't get any leads the more it bugs her. At the same time, that's not really bad, because Camp has weird time things and she wouldn't mind leaving things as they are because then she can just stay forever with Rain and that works too. BUT. That doesn't fix Yuca's problem because he just wants to die. So many problems and no way to fix them.
TELL ME THINGS BACK! About anything.

But he does like to check up on her! And make sure that Rain and her are working out together! Because he kind of encourages it in his own way, especially since he updated to Rain not being able to outlive Machika. It's the best kind of ending Rain was going to get, so he's really all about protecting that. Yuca randomly decides to test Machika's values and views with questions and hypotheticals . . . And, yeah, by sort of trying to be a cooler dude than Rain. (Not that he's done much aside from super outclass Rain on V-Day, but it's there and around.) But, no, Yuca doesn't really want to do any of the normal couple stuff or is even halfway close to admitting that he likes Machika anymore than he can admit that he likes Rain, and that confession always breaks him into little pieces. Don't wanna feel feelingsssssss.
Machika's thoughts on being away from home so long?

Machika has mixed feelings about being gone so long. In regards to being in Camp, she misses everyone from home, and this is probably the longest she's ever been without Kiki so it's hard to cope. But she's made friends here that she holds dear, and really in the end her home is wherever Rain is. She can handle not seeing Ayla and the others for a while--she went without seeing them for over a year! So she can handle it now. Everything is super different and she's still trying to get used to it, but she kind of likes exploring new things. As long as she focuses on the good things and not the bad, she's fine.
As for being away from the place where she grew up...man, that's a little harder. She didn't really think she'd be gone for as long as she has been; it just started with her chasing after Rain and spiraled into all of these events. Plus I am pretty sure she still has a bounty on her head thanks to the mayor, so she really can't go home. And home kind of hurts, because it just reminds her that Grandfather isn't there anymore. She wants to go back someday, at least to visit Zol's grave, but for now she's fine just being with Rain.
What's a day in the life of your characters offscreen?
