I happen to love that you sometimes go back in time because there is something oh so good about John and Dean in the sweet beginning of things! There is so much to love in this, John is such an alpha male and as always everything you write is so vivid to me, John smoking a cigarette, Dean stuffing his face and then later Dean freeing himself from the column *fans self* muscular thighs indeed! The batman line is of course! a favorite, I'm a huge batman girl.
I la la loved this, because John is such a hardass, he doesn't just lecture Dean, he does while Dean rests on a sore ass: Dean learned his lesson every time. He became intimate with the thrill of sitting down and being lectured after having been violently beaten over the bare crack of his ass the line just makes me squirm, guh these words always be grouped together-intimate,thrill,violently,beaten,bare crack,ass :)
And lastly this line in particular I loved He lowered his head and rested it against John's chest and leaned into him until John's arms came up around him. John rubbed the back of the boy's neck. They're like wolves, sorry I'm strange lol
