So life has become a bit crazy. Currently, I am hard at work developing Karate Kix of South Metro Denver, my ne Karate Kix Franchise. I will be starting on Sept 1 teaching at about 10 schools in the South Denver area. This month I am busy in meetings, getting the banking and legal work set up, organizing billing, and trying to promote the program. It is a lot of work, but I am enjoying it and learning a lot!
At the same time, I am rolling out the Koninjutsu program at the Warrior Quest Dojo. Classes are for kids 6-12, Tues and Thur from 6-7. The cost will be $65 a month. If you know anybody who would be interested in this program, please drop me an e-mail, comment, or give me a call (I'd rather not post my number, so just ask me to e-mail it to you if you don't have it). This program is a lot easier to start because the dojo is already established, but it is a lot harder to get students in the door! I am going to have to get some brochures together, but that requires that I find A. time and B. a computer with Publisher that I can use.
Lastly, our roommate moves out on the 10th. He is in Michigan right now, and pretty much all packed up. So the second bedroom has become a nice spacious office. I can't believe how quiet and empty it seems, but I am loving it. It's very peaceful and as much as I like Jimmy, I am glad to have my house and my husband all to myself. It is much easier to clean up after two people who are never home than three people, that's for sure. Also, it has given me the chance to cut down on clutter and get things more organized, which will be vital for this new business venture.
I am 8 pounds away from my weight loss goal and trying to get refocused. I am going to try to make it into the gym a little more often without overtraining and trying to get really strict about my dieting again. I was feeling stressed and got a little lax, fortunately I didn't gain back much, just a pound. But I don't want all of my hard work to go away because my discipline collapses any time I experience stress. That wouldn't be good.
Anyway, that's my life right now. Hope everyone else is doing well!
