Being smothered is its own kind of problem... [thoughtfully] He does seem a little bit possessive of you.

He talked casually about slapping people around. He doesn't seem to have a problem with using violence to get his way. He almost seems to find it funny.

Maybe I'm blowing it out of proportion, but it made me worried about you. Sometimes when someone's sick, you can't see it with your own eyes.
