I'm BACK, Baby!
I have had a really great day.
Productive, enjoyable, lots of laughs, and feeling accomplished for finishing my tasks.
I can't ask for much more.
Am feeling much better over the Prince thing. I just needed a few days on my own to get back into the swing of things and rid myself of all that stuff. It's all good now.
I woke up early on Saturday morning, and originally planned to head over to Mom's to spend some time. When I first looked out the window, it looked cold but clear. I got busy wrapping all the Christmas gifts and started to pack a suitcase to just leave there for the holidays. I wanted to get it all there to make my trip up on Christmas Eve much easier. Well, when I went out on my balcony for a smoke once I was done, there was a wall of white snow. So, even though my bags were packed and by the door, I was not making the trip out to Scarberia. Oh well.
Instead I spent the evening over at M's since she now lives so close. It's nice having someone so close by, and nice to be able to get out of my own place for awhile!
Sunday was another productive day. I fought the flurries and did 2 trips out for groceries. (My buggy only holds so much)---I bought flour to make coffee cakes again this year, 2 bags in fact. Well, didn't both bags of flour catch on the tire of the buggy. I left a flour trail all the way up to my apartment. I left the buggy in the hall so that the "snow" could melt. Well, I couldn't figure out why (1) it was so white and (2) why it wasn't melting, until I picked up the broken bags of flour! Damn. Oh well, it was funny, til I had to clean the hall.
Ah well. I managed to cook food to get me through the week for lunches and dinners, and I cleaned up my apartment.
Today, work was busy, but really fun. I've been doing alot of tech support with the Sales Guys, and there is alot of "download waiting" time, while I help them get the applications installed on their Blackberries. It's been a total riot. As annoyed as they may be with me, I've managed to get them to laugh, so that's a good thing. I have many free drinks promised to me for when we head out to Boston. By then, I think I'll need to drink, so it works out.
Once I got home, I grabbed my buggy, and went out to by flour again, the last 2 bags of the one on sale as a matter of fact! This time, I made sure not to leave a trail. The flour made it safe and sound. I cleaned up my balcony, made a date with D for Wednesday (*snicker*) and I actually feel ahead of the game for once! Things are shaping up quite nicely! I even booked off between Xmas and NewYear. I was gonna carry my days to next year, but shit...fuk it. I've worked damn hard, I deserve to take some time off, and I'm gonna do it.
So there.
Deal with that, punk.
Woah. Down girl. I think maybe I shouldn't have had the grape pop. (I love grape pop.)
I'm bloody hyper.
Damn. I better try and chill out. Gotta try and hit the sac soon...early day tomorrow.
