I GOT A RAISE!!!
WOOO HOOOO!!!!!!
This came as a total surprise to me...I just got called into a "closed" door meeting, and thanked for all of my hard work over the past year, with them noting how much I've grew and developed, and how well I handled that nasty project and yet obtained excellent training results. Best part is, they said that I grew the most by learning how to say "no" and stand my ground.
Wow. Who ever thought you could be rewarded for that, by a raise, no less?
Well, sheeee-it, baby! I'LL TAKE IT!
And the best part, they timed it so that it would hit tomorrow's paycheck!!!! It's an amazing offset to my paychecks since I've finally decided to get on the bankwagon and join the global share program (which really dinged me, since I went in at the max contribution.) It's super awesome, because come January when they started to deduct CPP and EI again, I was going to suspend my purchases to the Share program...but now I don't have to, since the raise is basically buying my shares for me. And...with the 50% match, it works out to be an excellent deal!
OH HAPPY DAY!
OK. I better get my ass back to work now.
But wait...first a cig.
Then back to work.
