So the Jackals Event…
It was a good event, the props and the plot was brilliant. As was having a load of people who I didn’t spend much time with at the main events there and people from all over IC, all of which I think had a good time, hopefully they did anyway.
It was brilliant having a pile of clan and tribe around, we have spent so long now barely seeing each other as we sprint past doing different things, its good to settle back to be settling back to a more realistic pace. Von Becks, bank, dancing girls, Harts (well Hart), vipers orcs, Scouts, Grecians, Crew, Lizards, Ramalan and all the rest was really, really cool as well seeing everyone getting caught up I stuff.
Monsters too, I know there wasn’t a vast number of you, you all were really cool as always.
Notable moments, um.
Realising that we had at least 3, possibly up to 6, full ritualists at an event when there wasn’t a non-invisible-flange-ritual circle for 10 miles. And that all 3 of us were standing outside the fort on our own with a wraith in the woods.
Role-playing with Magi Stu when he had lost his mentor was pretty cool, as he tried to go charging off and attacking a spectre on his own, dredging my memory for as much of the magi’s background as possible to get things to stop him.
Standing in a Temple being attacked by 3 temple guardians while I searched for information. (Going back in and being attacked in the back by the fourth and dropping, and being pulled out by a mate)
Discussing the fundamentals of how the world works with people in a tent.
Talking to Meldir, I really like Meldir and am realising I know very little about his IC background and that I should find out more.
Scouting in the woods.
Ok then there’s the Apothis bit. I feel phenomenally guilty over this at the same time as it being really cool. Memphis and Estaban deaths is really bad and to go in such a way.
Heres a brief recount of what happened I’m not gonna talk IC or say anything that isn’t widely known or was seen here.
I had been sitting at the fire for about 2 hours and heard someone call my name inside the fort, so got up and leisurely attached my weapons and started wandering in, I met several jackals possibly some others going in the other direction at a sprint saying “get snowy get snowy get snowy apothis” or something along those lines.
I sped up.
The conversation started.
During the course of the conversation I collected I think 5 harms, and dropped unconsciousness 3 times.
I started thanking people here but I tried to do that IC so wont do it in an OOC live journal. You know who you are thanks for saving me.
Spent the remainder of Saturday being a nutter and then screamed myself hoarse on Sunday apologies to any monsters I might have sprayed drooled on in my frothing.
Ended up going toe to toe with an unkillable (by me) avatar while people were heroes in all directions around me. Thanks to you lot too.
All in all the event was great, I’ll miss Memphis and Estaban (both IC and OOC from how they were developing the Faction and guild), I don’t really understand why things happened and can’t see any IC or OC justification for it that’s not just extremely bizarre.
Hopefully there is and we will find out someday.
Anyway I’ll talk to people IC and OC some other time about it all.
