Some thoughts on Allison in season 2.
She's always protested being a girly girl out loud, but she seems to love things like picking outfits with Lydia, her various artistic phases. She may see them as being weak, and she doesn't want to be weak, but she likes her frivolities anyway.
Her nightmare in s0209 was about being attacked by her own darker side, the hunter within her full of hate and violence. She was afraid of being too weak to protect herself, but she was also afraid of losing her gentle side, the side that knew how to love and have fun.
By the time we come to the end of the season, the girl who can laugh and wear flowery party dresses has been thoroughly eradicated by the side of her that won't tolerate any weakness, the side that would rather be strong than happy.
Her nightmare has come true.
