Wow. First of all, I love you guys. Waking up to find that 13 (!) of you had added me to their spankin' new LJ accounts was... baffling. And I love you. :)
That said, I'm still getting a mix of confused and downright rude comments questioning my motives for leaving ffn, so I thought I'd clarify one more time - this isn't about me, really. I'm almost 42, I've heard a lot of shit over time, and I can hold my own when I'm insulted. But 12-year-olds can't deal with this. Teenagers who are insulted and told to kill themselves and never publish their crap again can't deal with this. And forcing anon comments on authors is opening the door for harassment on a whole new level.
Let me combine this with a reply I, sadly, can no longer give directly, since the user in question has blocked me after that. (I can't even look at the messages that precede this anymore, so I can't quote what led up to this. Sorry about that.)

Seriously, just HOW dense are you even? =_= Do you not realize that you no longer CAN turn comments off? Are you too ignorant to understand that this is EXACTLY what I object to? That FFN took the fucking choice AWAY from the author?
Yes, I published a few anon comments on my notice to leave because I think they made a valid point. I also deleted about half of them from stupid dickheads like you, who took their sweet time to insult me.
This was certainly not about me attention-whoring. This was merely a notice to inform the almost 500 people who have me on author alert there that they will no longer get any updates from me on this site. It's a mere courtesy. I bet your niece would get that easily and not throw insults to show her failure to comprehend. Fugly self, bitch? Seriously? Was that really necessary...?
ETA: Okay, now it's getting ridiculous. Of course, I was blocked again as soon as she sent that message... *shakes head*
