Tony has been getting motion sick since season 1, so I totally buy that. He was on a ship for 4 months, with the right medication, no problem (take it from someone who has it bad). And they were hungry, that's when it get's the worst. Empty stomach and no meds? Wenn is one big fat mess in anything that moves. Cept on a plane. ^.^ I don't care about it being like the wet T-shirt contest (which was almost a decade ago), I mean this is Tony, he's repeated old tricks all the time!. Besides, like he would ever post those pictures! He would have with Kate, he wouldn't with these, he's too jealous to share "her" with others. And whereas Kate would totally freak out over it, Ziva wouldn't really give a damn and he knows that too.
It only makes it worse for me how he treats McGee when he's so sick if Tony suffers from the same problem. But I do remember him throwing up in the backseat once back in the Kate days and of course the vomiting in the van when Ziva drove for the first time in Silver Wars. Sigh... Tony seems to lack empathy a lot of the time.
I agree Tony would never post those pictures. Although I am thinking it would be part a jealous urge to keep anyone else from seeing them and a little part fearing what Ziva would do. Cause once those pictures are out there on the website at NCIS anyone could capture them and send them out into the world.
Female agents/cops have enough problems getting respect from the bad guys. Can you imagine Ziva facing down a guy whose seen those pix on tumblr and recognizes her? The job of taking him down just got so much more complicated.
To tell you the truth, I didn't feel like he was ragging on McGee. A little teasing yes, but to me it felt like for the most part he was very sympathetic towards him. But that is just my interpretation here, I could be wrong. Besides, they always rag on each other, there have been a number of occasions where McGee has taken a "stab" or two at Tony when I thought "That's kinda on the border there" but they never take it too far. I remember that one scene in "Chimera" Tony: "Woah, steady there Probie!" McGee: "Tell that to my stomach." Tony (bends towards McGee's stomach): "Steady there Probies stomach" So funny!
Maybe it's just a generational thing... I know I never make fun of my friends who are ill enough to vomit, not even when it's because they're hung over.
And I wouldn't appreciate it in the least if someone laughed at me while I was vomiting.
I'm on a crazy schedule currently, so I only have the time and brain to reply to one part of this. I have to admit, you going on and on about how mean Tony was to "treat McGee like that"... did we watch the same episode? *blinks*
I loved the scene because we never saw Tony showing MORE empathy than in that scene. Yeah, he teased him, but as soon as McGee said, back off, I'm feeling really horrible here, Tony did just that. He shut up and just let McGee ramble on. There weren't any mean, snide tones to what he said, and I swear, I cannot remember a single scene where we actually see Tony utter the words "poor guy" when it comes to someone he just made fun of. What I saw was someone who did feel genuinely sympathetic for a change. So yeah, I'm kinda sitting here and scratching my head and wondering what scene you saw.

Guess we just saw it differently.
That's all.
