It sometimes seemed to her like he had known quite well what she had meant to him when he had thought she was dead, but now that he had her back, he wasn't sure what to do with her and how to treat her.
I love how true that is.

With one simple touch of lips, this had gone beyond any game, anything that was mere pleasure, and it had turned into much more than either of them had bargained for.

Lovely.

Oh I love it. I love that it's a great companion piece, and really lets the reader see Ziva's intentions.

Thank you. I wasn't sure at first if it needed to be written, but a few people found the interpretation useful, so I am glad I did it.

I love that they both somehow believe that intimacy between them can be just sex. I find it very believable that they would attempt to convince themselves that this is true.

*nods* I think both characters have severe problems with intimacy and everything surrounding it, so it feels very natural to let them think they can keep this at a "professional" level. Of course, they are dead wrong, but where's the fun in telling them? ;)

I love this story set and Ziva's POV during WB only enriches it all the more. I love the way you write her thoughts and her motive for showing up at Tony's in just a trench coat. ;)

The more pieces I do from Ziva's POV, the more I find that she really develops her own "style" that is slightly different from the pieces done in Tony's POV. It's... interesting.

This was just what I needed to read, especially when my own muses are refusing to cooperate. So deliciously yummy and smutty and everything in between. Love hearing Ziva's perspective, especially since I downright adore and appreciate the way you write her as being 100% accurate, in my mind. But every touch between them was like a sparking flutter in my stomach, they want each other so badly, it's almost maddening yet it's completely satisfying when they get to be with one another like this. And I think (sex) it being the only way that they can sort of be with one another, intimately, is absolutely real and true. At the beginning anyway (they're both pretty touchy feely to one another on the show at the moment, seriously you'd need to weld them apart), it'd just be so intense yet passionate that the only thing they really could do (well) is sex, telling each other through their bodies just how much feel, how much they want.

Lovely work as always

Heeee. This? Sounds so sweet, dear! :D

*nods* I know what you mean.

I'm really glad it struck a cord with you, especially since at first I wasn't sure that this needed to be written at all. Now I'm glad I did. :)

.

... she felt something switch in the way he looked at her, and his attention shifted focus while his eyes slid over her... in a not very brotherly way.

Well played. He definitely needed some strong innuendo from Ziva to feel, to know that sexual flirtation was no longer taboo.

It would make him feel better, too... him and his 'mojo'.

Stroking his ego? What a team player :).

And after a lifetime, something else happened, and his hand tightened on her neck as he moaned and closed his eyes. "God, Ziva, please, move," he whispered heatedly against her lips, and she felt her own eyes flutter shut at the rough urgency in his voice. And then he added the thing to undo her, saying, "I need you."

Oh, aye! Light me a ciggy butt :).

Maybe that weird gentleness, their own way of treating each other when no one else was looking, was the real reason why that night a relationship was begun by two people who usually abhorred the word.... and the equivalent of a post-coital cuddle :). Such sweetness ( ... )

Yup. She knows what's good for our boy... XD

That is the thing that always gets me with these two. When they do stuff like that, they're almost out of their way and sweet to each other, whereas other couples treating each other the way they do? Would be close to filing a divorce, lol...

but to quote your own work

I won't. ;) There are one or two smaller ones that need to be written, and I'm itching to do a bigger piece for these, but there hasn't been the kicker idea yet for that. Well, it'll be three more weeks until my holiday starts, so there's time to get some pondering and plotting done...

And - thank you, really. When I started this, I wasn't quite sure that it needed to be written at all. But this reaction and a few others' told me that it was a good idea after all. :)
