trying to do the impressive!mean!drug lady stunt... she's just incredibly boring and not impressive at all.

I found her really dull too. Might have been more interesting if they hadn't used her, but just kept to the storyline with Alejandro.

Ziva punching Tony when he gets blunt with Gibbs on the plane.

THE PLANE SCENES. <3 I loved the first one, where they were agreeing not to get back on the plane without Gibbs. And then this second one was all sorts of amazing, from the way Tony was questioning Gibbs to the interaction between Tony and Ziva. And I am typically not someone who squeals over small little Tiva-ish details (and I also completely missed it while watching it the first time) but the blanket sharing! <333

The scene when Gibbs hugs Abby? Breaks my friggin heart and makes me cry every time I see it.

Same here. Ohmygod. To me it felt like such a GOODBYE sort of hug and, ugh. It makes me sad just thinking about it!

Do I think him missing the ceremony will break them? Actually, no, because I think Ziva knows her way ( ... )

I KNEW there was a reason I didn't like Alejandro when he first showed up!

I was sure from the first time he was mentioned in an article, I think that was before he even showed up. It would have, in fact, baffled me big time when he would have turned out to be a good guy instead...

I LOVED how much interaction they had in the episode and everything between them felt like it was back to their normal

*nods* That is what left me feeling content after this ep. They're at a good place, despite the missed ceremony. This is something we can work from. I actually see a future there.

I've really warmed up to Vance's character this season

I have, actually loved him from the first episode on. They way he worked with Gibbs, that was just awesome. These two would make really good partners. And I never fell for the "possible shady past" - maybe because I could never get the image of the scary, but competent headmaster out of my head. He just kicks ass. True, he has his own agenda, but he's just... win. :)

I had this whole thing typed up about how Paloma couldn’t really be anything but what she is because of her family scenario, yadda yadda, but livejournal hates me and something ate it and whatever. She’s not really meant to be more than a flat throw-away baddie, is she? I mean, when vengeance is your only goal in life ( ... )

Not so sure about that. I think if you successfully lead a drug cartel of these dimensions, for years, you can't be that flat. You have to be competent. But when she gave her supposed-to-be-impressive speech... I felt like yawning and doing my nails, really.

I got really worried about Papa Gibbs until I realized there’s no way Jethro left him alone up there

Especially after she gave him the home-made fudge and he knows she's been there.

I doubt they'll kill off Jackson, because even Shane Brennan knows by know that using character death to invoke emotion gets old at one point. And since they used so darn good storytelling throughout the past three episodes, I doubt they'd go for the flat shocker now.

I was so underwhelmed by this episode. I think I need to watch it again after reading this.

I do agree with you about Ziva not being angry at Tony for missing the ceremony. If anything, I can see it being more upsetting to Tony.

I'm still mad at Gibbs for missing it, though. For Malison? Really?

I think I need to watch it again after reading this.

The thing is, in a lot of ways that episode was even more subtle than "Patriot Down". It was not the regular action finale, but it was a really, really well-written episode, and there is so much in it that I think I can watch it five more times and still discover something more about it.

Did it leave me gripping the edge of my seat? No. Did it leave me stricken and speechless, after all? Oh yes.

I'm still mad at Gibbs for missing it, though. For Malison? Really?

That's the thing I just don't get, too. It just doesn't work in my head. Unless they have another storyline in their hand that we don't know yet.

At least they like each other and the Tiva fans are satisfied without it being a total turnoff for those that do not want Tiva

Yeah, I really don't see the problem with that, at all. And, in fact, that would be the better way to not anger both fan bases at the same time.

But do they listen to us? Nooooo. *rolls eyes*

I almost spit out the water I was drinking when I read this.

*giggles* I had that running around in my head since watching the trailer. That might have been one reason why I couldn't take her seriously. ^^
