It's another one of EXO's exhausted days in the SME building. Having to get up early in the morning and practice dancing until they almost drop to dead, and could finally have some peace during break time, which almost never lasts long, because they had to start practicing again as soon as possible. Even though their bodies hurt and their eyes were somewhat unfocused, they had no choice but to continue to move on and do as told. After all, they signed a contract with the company and agreed to their policies, so they had no choice or whatsoever to do as they pleased.
Ever since their comeback, the boys had almost no proper sleep and had been going on like robots everyday without having to even look like zombies, because the stylist noonas had those perfectly and adequately skills to cover up their darkened eye bags and make them look as if they had their beauty sleeps right on time and been given a lot of beauty treatment to have those flawless skins so they can make their fans scream, cry, envy, faint at the sight of their beautiful white pearly skins.
"Boys, gather around and listen up," EXO's manager clapped his hands once he entered their training room.
All 12 boys groaned inwardly, not because they hated the man, but merely because they were tired of the whole 12 hours non-stop dancing and were actually prepared for the next words. They knew there will be no time for rest the upcoming weeks.
"There is going to be interview next week and you all have to be prepared for that. After the interview, there will be a photoshoot which all of you have to attend. Lots of things have to be done to make this a non-forgettable moment for the fans. Then we're going to have a mini fan sign after a couple of days. I have everything scheduled already. All you boys have to do is go through all of those appointments and make us proud," their manager said as he looked at all of them seriously.
"Nae, hyung-nim," all 12 boys answered simultaneously as they nodded to make their words clear.
"Alright, you all can wrap up and go home. Have some rest and do whatever you please. In the mean time, I am going to start on making some phone calls with the manager from M. Don't forget about the interviews. Kris and Suho, you both are responsible for taking the script and the schedule and make sure the rest of the members have a copy of them. All of you should know what to say and do by then. Come to my office tomorrow to pick up them up. 9 AM sharp,"
"Yes, hyung-nim," both Kris and Suho replied at once.
Once their manager left, all 12 boys gathered around together all talking at once excitedly. All were of course excited about the sudden free time they got and none even mentioned about the interview which was due to next week. Or even the packed appointments after the interview.
"What should we have for tonight?," Baekhyun asked feeling his stomach grumble in hunger. He looked at all the other members expectantly.
"I can make kimbap for all of you," Kyungsoo suggested looking up at all of them with those perfectly shaped doe eyes.
"Oohh... great, but don't make for M. They eat different," Chanyeol clapped his hands happily, which earned him a backhead slap by Kris.
"What do you mean by "they eat different"?," Kris snorted.
"Yah! That wasn't necessary was it? Besides, you guys eat Chinese food more than us,"
"That doesn't mean we don't eat Korean food,"
"But, still Kyungsoo is our cook. We can decide whether or not you people can eat," Chanyeol gave a firm nod as he circled his arms around the smaller member of the group.
"Chanyeol, don't be mean. I can cook for them too," Kyungsoo tried to defend the M-members as he pulled onto those long arms trying to breathe .
"Well, Kris..., if all of you want some of our Kyungsoo's food, why don't you, hyung, do some aegyo for us to see and we'll judge whether or not you pass the test," Baekhyun taunted the tallest member of M.
"Yeah, great idea Baekhyun!," Chanyeol cheered, still not letting go of Kyungsoo,
Kris sucked in his breath and gave Baekhyun a well performed judging look. At which, of course, Baekhyun wasn't afraid of. He was never afraid of the members, all... except for Tao. He gave the other a smirk and knew oh-dear-M-duizhang is so going to fail this dare, because he and everyone in the SME building knew that Kris NEVER likes doing aegyo. Doing aegyo is a big NO NO in the other's dictionary. Aegyo equals bad. Aegyo equals losing his manliness. Aegyo equals losing his macho-ness.
"So, you up for the challenge?," Baekhyun smirked.
By now, all of the other members were hooting and shouting out happily to Kris. They were amused of course. Because the outcome was predictable.
Leader, Kris is not going to let his pride and manliness get crushed to the ground because of FOOD and yet, they still hope he would do the aegyo, so they can laugh at him afterwards and maybe post it up on the internet for the fans to watch who can cackle along with them. They were sure the views will shoot up sky high and would break PSY's "Gangnam style" record on youtube.
"Ok, alright. Everyone who wants to see Kris hyung do aegyo, please raise your hand," Suho attempted to quiet the group down, which he failed at the moment, because all 11 pairs of hands shot up rapidly as a couple of rockets as high as they could as if trying to reach the dancing room's ceiling. They were all laughing and cheering as loudly as they could.
Kris's mouth almost dropped, but he managed to close them right on time before he could eat a fly. He had expected that, but no way in Merlin's beard was he going to do aegyo. Especially not worth for something as food. Kyungsoo's food...Kris hated aegyo since day one and he was still going to hate it until forever.
"Ge, pai tou la... I want to eat Kyungsoo's food tonight. It's been a while since I've eaten his well cooked food," the youngest member of EXO-M pleaded as he grabbed hold of Kris's right arm tightly, shaking it violently that Kris was almost afraid the other would rip off his arm and his future as EXO-M duizhang would just end right then and there.
Kris reminded himself that Tao knew how to wushu, so he wasn't going to take the risk of getting the other to tore him apart.
"Tao...," Kris started, prying the other's hands away carefully. "Don't worry... we're going to eat Korean food tonight-,"
"Kyungsoo's food," Tao interrupted looking at Kris with those beautiful sharp almond-shaped eyes, hope plastered on his face. Kris could see the beautiful bright and sunny smile appear on the boy's face.
"Uhm... Kyungsoo's food," Kris repeated afterwards, a little bit hesitant, because he wasn't sure if they'd actually get to eat Kyungsoo's food that night. "I'll make sure of that,"
"Ge, you're the best!," Tao whooped happily, giving his leader a bear hug. Which the other returned with a smile.
"How are you going to get Kyungsoo's food then?," Kai asked breaking those two apart. He blinked from Kris to Tao and back to Kris again.
"Doing aegyo will only earn him points to get food for all of you M members," Chanyeol stated.
Kris cringed at the word "aegyo". Why did they have to bring that up again? He was hoping they'd totally forget about the aegyo-thing.
"Come on, Kris hyung, it's easy. Just put your hands up like this. Curl them in slight fists and make those cat pawing or circling moves and give a smile," Sehun offered to teach the other how to do aegyo, because he was the maknae of the K-group and is responsible for doing aegyo at shows and performances.
All the other members started to laugh. Kris didn't look amused at all.
"I am going to pretend that I haven't seen that or heard any of those words you said Sehun," Kris responded.
"Oh come on, it's just a small thing," Chanyeol was getting impatient, because he wasn't getting any show as he'd expected.
"Why don't Xiumin hyung do it then. He has the look and the face for it," Kris opted.
"Uh...?," Xiumin looked surprised as he was suddenly dragged into the whole discussion. Chen burst out laughing next to him.
"No, we want YOU to do the aegyo," Chanyeol stated.
Kris was about to retort, but the sudden cry coming from Kyungsoo brought all of them to shut up and look wide eyed at the smallest member. He had been sitting there quietly throughout the whole conversation and couldn't take it anymore. Why such a big fuss over eating his food or not? If they were this difficult then he'd rather not cook at all. They can all suffer together then.
"Enough! All of you... I ain't going to cook anymore. Go buy yourself some food," Kyungsoo huffed out as he got up and stomped away with his towel.
The others watched with awed and disappointed eyes. They were getting no delicious home cooked food anymore. The end.
"Ahh..., well... let's get take out then," Chanyeol chirped, being the happy virus as he is and the one who always manages to break the utmost oddest tensions.
"What should we get then?," Sehun and Kai asked at the same time.
"Let's write down and then we do rock, scissor and paper, see which food wins," Suho stated.
"Alright~!," Baekhyun jumped up from the floor to go over to the corner and get a piece of paper, so he could write down whatever food they could possibly eat that night.
"Uhm... what are we going to do then?," Chen spoke for the first time since Kyungsoo's sudden outburst.
"I can make ramen for all of you," Xiumin offered.
"Ramen it is then," Kris stated.
Tao gave an you-got-to-be-fucking-kidding-me look at the others. What the heck? He wanted Kyungsoo's food. And now... they are going to eat ramen? Why? That was so unfair.

That night as Kris was getting ready to go to sleep, he didn't expect the maknae sitting in the middle of his bed. With his arms crossed. And his legs too. Giving him a you-got-some-explanation-to-do glare. Kris halted his steps when he saw that, what he dubbed as the "Kung Fu Panda Tao's death glare", pointed right at him. For as far Kris could remember, Tao had never given him that look. After all, he was Tao's favorite hyung and lovable partner. Why would Tao have that look directed to him anyway?
"Uhm...,Tao?," Kris started hesitantly.
"Ge, why don't you like to do aegyo?," Tao promptly asked, his arms still crossed firmly.
Tao was angry, annoyed, pissed. All because of his hyung's fault. Because of his hyung, he couldn't have a decent dinner. Because of his hyung, he couldn't eat Kyungsoo's delicious food. Because of his hyung he had to do with ramen. Only ramen. They almost practically eat ramen every night and that wasn't healthy for everyone's information.
All because his hyung didn't want to do aegyo. Aegyo wasn't that bad right?
"Tao..., it's not something I can do. You know that," Kris sighed, now knowing what Tao's anger was about.
"But, it's just once,"
"I know..., but still I can't get myself to do it. It just... isn't like me at all,"
"It isn't like anyone's either,"
"No, that's not true... look at Sehun... he does aegyo automatically and it... suits him... I guess," Kris sighed as he flopped on his bed, his head lying next to Tao's crossed legs.
"But you could have done it for me," Tao stated. Kris sighed. He was tired of this conversation. Which has been held uncountable times since they debuted on stage.
"I can't do it in front of all of them,"
"Why?,"
"They are going to laugh their heads off,"
"What if you are forced to do it in a show? Would you refuse too? With all thousands of big ogling eyes focusing on you?,"
Tao had a point. And Kris was silence for a moment.
"Time will tell then," Kris replied instead.
Tao started to pout, because he didn't get any answer to his question. There's one thing Tao didn't like and that is when his questions were avoided or left unanswered.
"Come on, Taozi... let's go to sleep. Tomorrow is going to be another day. We have practice and I have to go get that schedule for all of you too," Kris said as he pulled the other out of the crossed legs and arms- position.
They curled up together as Kris tucked both of them beneath the thick blanket. Tao snuggled close to his hyung happily as Kris stroke his head fondly.
"You haven't changed Taozi," Kris commented with a smile.
"Should I?,"
"No..., you stay the way you are,"
"So... you are not going to tell me what you're going to do when you're forced to do aegyo on national television?,"
"No..., because I have no answer to that," Kris replied bluntly.
Tao nodded. He knew his hyung would give him an answer one day. Just not that day.

As days goes by fast, the next week finally came where all of the members had to do the interview. All 12 members of EXO were prepared for the TenCent Celebrity Interview and they were sure it was going to be a success, because they have practiced so many times the previous days.
They were currently taking their seats as their manager spoke to the cameramen and checking on some last errands before they started shooting the interview. As the camera started rolling, the host of the interview did his best to get some information out of all of the members, with the occasional help of a woman translator. After a lot of questioning and answering, they finally were asked to divide in 2 groups and the 1st groups were to align in front so they could start with the game. They had to do sign language a word or whatsoever from the 1st person all the way to the last person, who had to guess what the word was.
As the 1st group got up and prepared themselves with whatever was going to happen, the rest of the others sat on their seats watching amused. The host gave the ready sign and showed the word to the first person. Lay.
Lay who stood as the 1st member of the group started off smoothly, making Baekhyun understand as best as he could. Seeing that Beakhyun understood what he was trying to portray, he seemed satisfied. Baekhyun turned to let Suho see what he could make out of Lay's sign language. All the other members laughed at the way Baekhyun signed with his hand and his face. It was getting more interesting every minute.
"He learned it the same way," the host commented suddenly, so Baekhyun added something of his own.
Suho couldn't help but laugh as he turned to tap Kyungsoo on the shoulder, who was standing in front of him with his back turned. He drew out a rectangle in the air and did his best at what he guessed what Baekhyun tried to 'tell' him. He let a hand slide against his smooth jawline as the others aah-ed and ooh-ed at him. Kyungsoo gave him a blank expression, almost saying what-the-fuck-is-this with his look. The other members continued to laugh either at Kyungsoo's expression or at Suho's sign language.
"Everyone, you can see D.O.'s expression. He looks like he is totally lost," the host commented laughing at the same time.
D.O. didn't give off any signs that he actually understood what Suho was trying to say, but he did his best anyways to let Xiumin see what he understood out of Suho's signs.
The other members were amused and excited to know what D.O. would show Xiumin of course. They were of course laughing at the way D.O. performed, but that didn't stop him from doing what he thought that he understood. He made the same rectangular sign and gave a smile to the camera. Pointing at himself and giving the two thumbsup was everything he showed Xiumin.
"Chen Chen, you are in trouble," came the host's comment as Xiumin tapped Chen's shoulder.
The other had a worried smile on his face as he turned to look at his hyung. He could feel the hope draining out of his body when he heard the host's comment. But he tried anyways. Xiumin showed him a rectangular sign too and just scratched his side of his chin with right thumb. Chen looked at the other with a puzzled look. Xiumin looked back at him and gave his infamous innocent I-don't-know shrug, heaving up both his shoulders with his hands wide open.
As the other members laughed, Chen tried to make out what the word was. He tried to think of something but couldn't. Finally he gave up and squatted down crying out that he didn't know the answer, laughing at the same time. But of course, Lay being the good and sweet member he was, requested for Chen to see the original version so Chen could guess the answer. After Lay portrayed his version, Chen finally answered.
"He answered mirror," the translator woman replied.
The answer was wrong.
"I especially want to know what D.O. think it is. D.O. what do you think it is?," the host directed his question to Kyungsoo who looked surprised, because the Chinese host called his name.
"Because I see you, looking very lost. I really want to know your answer," the translator woman said in Korean to Kyungsoo.
"When I see Suho, I think I knew. Because Suho has the "Prince Syndrome"," Kyungsoo replied quietly.
And so, Kyungsoo answered it right and the others were talking all at once. After that, they were thanked and asked to take their seats again and the 2nd group was asked to come forward. Like the previous group they had to line up in front. Kris as the first member, getting worried and yet not at the same time. They didn't know what kind of words they'd get to start with. As the other members of the second group were forming their positions, he quickly glanced at his youngest dongsaeng, who stood quietly at the other end of the line with both his hands poised on either side of his hips. He nodded, almost subconsciously at the sight of Tao just standing there. Once the host showed the word, Kris couldn't help but burst out laughing embarrassingly.
His inside were screaming like crazy. Why the hell did they have to do this quest? Of all the other things, THEY had to actually do THIS one stupid quest Kris loathed the most. Now it is official. His manly-macho-image is pulled down the drain and he would be laughed at by the others for sure. And he was sure this will continue to follow him for a couple of weeks or probably months! Kris can smack his head at the moment, but he reminded himself that the cameras were rolling and he had no escape route whatsoever this time.
The other members who were now sitting and watching them were amused. FINALLY, they get to see Kris do aegyo. They were SO looking forward to it.
Kris continued to laugh as he held up his right arm and his hand covered his face for a moment before he slid down to the floor all at once, trying to make his embarrassed feeling go away. The other members started to laugh at his laughter. They had a feeling that this was going to be amusing.
Hearing his hyung laugh like that,Tao wanted to turn around so badly and look at what Kris was laughing at. He did turn, only for a second. Tao was getting a bit nervous as he picked on his clothes for a few seconds. Tao felt Sehun hit him a couple of times, just to annoy him as he heard the other laugh at something random. Sehun's hands moved up to massage him on the shoulder.
"Relax," Sehun whispered so only Tao could hear him. Tao stayed quiet as he felt Sehun leaning close behind him and could actually feel hot breath tickling the back of his neck. What was Sehun doing again?
"You smell nice," Sehun whispered, his lips pressed close to his hoodie.
"What?," Tao was confused, but he kept his smile in place. He could still feel Sehun's hands on his shoulders, giving a reassuring squeeze every so often.
Meanwhile, at the other side of the line, Kris was debating whether or not to call the director to stop the whole recording, just so they could erase this scene and do something else instead. But he decided to go against that idea. He looked a bit unsure to the side as a protective arm came up to prop against the other arm as he turned around in position again. It was now or never.
Once the host gave the start sign, Kris gave one tap on Chanyeol's upper arm, making the other turn around. He nodded to himself once he has decided what to do. Chanyeol looked at him with a big smile plastered on his face. With a lot of difficulty, Kris decided to follow what Sehun had taught him the other day. He brought both his hands up making a fist at the same time and brought them close to his face doing the pawing or circling moves. He squeezed his eyes shut for a second before opening them as his lips form a thin line at the same time.
Chanyeol's smile fell off immediately once he saw what Kris did. KRIS DID THE AEGYO!! Someone made a noise in the background, probably feeling goosebumps coming at the sight of Kris doing aegyo. Kris did one last mini-pawing or circling motion with his hands while looking at Chanyeol expectantly. Both his eyebrows were ceased up together as Chanyeol motioned with his hands the that-is-it?-sign. Kris nodded as he made it perfectly clear that that was it with both his perfectly large hands before doing the motion again. As Chanyeol turned around, Kris felt such a relief that he didn't have to repeat that again. He watched Chanyeol do the movement to Luhan. Of course added with somethings of his own. At which the other did a perfectly good job at, but Luhan had this you-got-to-be-fucking-kidding-me expression. After all, Luhan is another one of the members who didn't like to do aegyo either, because he IS manly, even though he had such a beautiful and cute face.
"Chanyeol, you added a lot more actions!," the host commented as more laughter aroused.
And even though Luhan didn't like to do aegyo, he was just perfectly good in it. Kai couldn't help but laugh at Luhan, who started to laugh too at the silliness. Kai turned to tap Sehun and gave out a short laugh before doing the aegyo motions. Sehun brought both his hands up to cover his laughter as he watched the dancer do more aegyo. Sehun couldn't believe what he was seeing at the moment. He turned around to tap Tao and started on doing what he's been responsible for since debut day 1. All cuteness oozed out of him and Tao couldn't help but laugh at the sight of the other maknae. His eyes crinkled as he covered his mouth with his hands. At which Sehun found it probably cute and let both his hands touch Tao's face. Once they finished laughing, Sehun continued on, making 2 peace signs at the end. Tao looked thoughtfully at Sehun, trying to come up with the chinese word of "aegyo".
"Xiao ke ai?," Tao asked confusion written all over his face.
The others looked at him expectantly. He asked Sehun to do it again at which the other did of course.
"One more chance, last time!," the host said.
Kris tried to give Tao a sign at the other end of the line, hoping that Tao would answer correctly. But Tao still looked a bit confused as Sehun tried to show him once more.
"Let's see Kris do it!," the host suddenly suggested.
"Wah? I don't want," Kris brought out a bit panicky.
Kris started to laugh embarrassingly again, trying to decline the suggestion.
"Let's see the first one, Kris! The original one!," the man said.
Kris sighed knowing that he had no other choice, because they were on national television, so he had to do what was told. Well, at least he was doing it for Tao to see it. The original version to be exact. He brought up both his curled up fists and did the circling motion and then gave a peace sign with the right hand close to his right eye. At last, he added another scene which he didn't do in the beginning. Holding both his hands open under his chin, making a V-sign with them and a small pout. All motions forced of course.
"Aarrghh~!!," Chanyeol, Luhan and Sehun cried out as they felt as if they were electrified by the Kris-aegyo. All fingers were curled up at once, making the others laugh at them now.
All, except Tao. He just looked dumbfounded at Kris who looked back at him hopefully. Kris felt his hope drain every second and finally he fell on the floor, both his hands landing on the floor and his head lowered. Kris was on his hunches now, head still lowered.
"Don't feel stressed," came out from the host as the rest continued to laugh.
Tao was still trying to guess what the word was as Kris got up and looked at him with a come-on-you-know-this-answer-Tao look.
"Aegyo?," Tao answered hesitantly.
The woman translated it for the host and said he answered correctly in Korean, but still hadn't found out what the Chinese word for aegyo was. While the woman was busy translating for the host, the members were all talking incoherently to each other. Tao stepped out of the line to look at his duizhang, who looked right back at him. Then came the answer and he was a bit disappointed that he couldn't even say "aegyo" in Chinese.
Finally after they have wrapped up everything, they were free to go home and do whatever they want. That night, Kyungsoo cooked for all of them and they still laughed at Kris for doing the aegyo. Kris was of course, totally NOT amused throughout the whole night, even right after the interview shoot, they started teasing him until dinner time.
When the clock finally struck 11 PM, all 12 boys decided to hit for the hay, because they had to get up early the next day.
Tao was still smiling, the moment Kris entered their shared bedroom. Kris had this infamous annoyed-bitch-look on his face as he looked at the maknae.
"What?," Kris didn't mean to sound harsh, but it was hard enough that he had to do this aegyo thing and get teased by the other members for the rest of the night. And probably the upcoming days and weeks.
"Ge, you are cute when you do aegyo," Tao commented. "See, aegyo is not that bad"
"Ugh, Tao... not again," Kris sighed out tiredly, flopping down on his bed.
"No, but I am-,"
"Tao," Kris' tone gave a warning at which Tao knew immediately.
"I still love you," Tao commented out of nowhere.
Tao blinked at the other slowly as he watched Kris' expression. And all of a sudden, Kris felt his stress and anger go away all at once. It just melted away in a second. Just by merely hearing those words coming out of Tao's lips.
"Come here," Tao scooted closer to his hyung's arms and made himself comfortable.
"Ge, your arms are really warm... and... comfortable," Tao yawned, closing his eyes slowly.
"Hm," was the only reply that came out of Kris' lips. He was too tired to say anything anymore. He just wanted to go to sleep with Tao in his arms.
And so, both Kris and Tao slept together, wishing that the night could be more longer and the day could postpone for further delay. If only there were more hours in a day.
But somewhere in the house, there was only one member who hasn't gone to sleep yet. He was silently cackling to himself while typing and loading the video on the internet furiously, hoping that he'd get lots of comments or reactions to his uploaded video. Who knows, maybe his video would be watched in just a few seconds after he'd uploaded it on youtube.

Aahh... finally finished. Took me quite a while for typing this. 3 days to be exact. It's my first time writing an EXO-fic. Just got into this fandom actually. I actually stopped right after DBSK disbanded. Yeah, I used to write in the DBSK fandom, but then I stopped 2 years ago or probably more.

All you boys have to do is go through all of those appointments and make us proud," their manager said as he looked at all of them seriously.
"Nae, hyung-nim," all 12 boys answered simultaneously as they nodded to make their words clear.
"Alright, you all can wrap up and go home. Have some rest and do whatever you please. In the mean time, I am going to start on making some phone calls with the manager from M. Don't forget about the interviews. Kris and Suho, you both are responsible for taking the script and the schedule and make sure the rest of the members have a copy of them. All of you should know what to say and do by then. Come to my office tomorrow to pick up them up. 9 AM sharp,"
"Yes, hyung-nim," both Kris and Suho replied at once.
Once their manager left, all 12 boys gathered around together all talking at once excitedly. All were of course excited about the sudden free time they got and none even mentioned about the interview which was due to next week. Or even the packed appointments after the interview.
"What should we have for tonight?," Baekhyun asked feeling his stomach grumble in hunger. He looked at all the other members expectantly.
"I can make kimbap for all of you," Kyungsoo suggested looking up at all of them with those perfectly shaped doe eyes.
"Oohh... great, but don't make for M. They eat different," Chanyeol clapped his hands happily, which earned him a backhead slap by Kris.
"What do you mean by "they eat different"?," Kris snorted.
"Yah! That wasn't necessary was it? Besides, you guys eat Chinese food more than us,"
"That doesn't mean we don't eat Korean food,"
"But, still Kyungsoo is our cook. We can decide whether or not you people can eat," Chanyeol gave a firm nod as he circled his arms around the smaller member of the group.
"Chanyeol, don't be mean. I can cook for them too," Kyungsoo tried to defend the M-members as he pulled onto those long arms trying to breathe .
"Well, Kris..., if all of you want some of our Kyungsoo's food, why don't you, hyung, do some aegyo for us to see and we'll judge whether or not you pass the test," Baekhyun taunted the tallest member of M.
"Yeah, great idea Baekhyun!," Chanyeol cheered, still not letting go of Kyungsoo,
Kris sucked in his breath and gave Baekhyun a well performed judging look. At which, of course, Baekhyun wasn't afraid of. He was never afraid of the members, all... except for Tao. He gave the other a smirk and knew oh-dear-M-duizhang is so going to fail this dare, because he and everyone in the SME building knew that Kris NEVER likes doing aegyo. Doing aegyo is a big NO NO in the other's dictionary. Aegyo equals bad. Aegyo equals losing his manliness. Aegyo equals losing his macho-ness.
"So, you up for the challenge?," Baekhyun smirked.
By now, all of the other members were hooting and shouting out happily to Kris. They were amused of course. Because the outcome was predictable.
Leader, Kris is not going to let his pride and manliness get crushed to the ground because of FOOD and yet, they still hope he would do the aegyo, so they can laugh at him afterwards and maybe post it up on the internet for the fans to watch who can cackle along with them. They were sure the views will shoot up sky high and would break PSY's "Gangnam style" record on youtube.
"Ok, alright. Everyone who wants to see Kris hyung do aegyo, please raise your hand," Suho attempted to quiet the group down, which he failed at the moment, because all 11 pairs of hands shot up rapidly as a couple of rockets as high as they could as if trying to reach the dancing room's ceiling. They were all laughing and cheering as loudly as they could.
Kris's mouth almost dropped, but he managed to close them right on time before he could eat a fly. He had expected that, but no way in Merlin's beard was he going to do aegyo. Especially not worth for something as food. Kyungsoo's food...Kris hated aegyo since day one and he was still going to hate it until forever.
"Ge, pai tou la... I want to eat Kyungsoo's food tonight. It's been a while since I've eaten his well cooked food," the youngest member of EXO-M pleaded as he grabbed hold of Kris's right arm tightly, shaking it violently that Kris was almost afraid the other would rip off his arm and his future as EXO-M duizhang would just end right then and there.
Kris reminded himself that Tao knew how to wushu, so he wasn't going to take the risk of getting the other to tore him apart.
"Tao...," Kris started, prying the other's hands away carefully. "Don't worry... we're going to eat Korean food tonight-,"
"Kyungsoo's food," Tao interrupted looking at Kris with those beautiful sharp almond-shaped eyes, hope plastered on his face. Kris could see the beautiful bright and sunny smile appear on the boy's face.
"Uhm... Kyungsoo's food," Kris repeated afterwards, a little bit hesitant, because he wasn't sure if they'd actually get to eat Kyungsoo's food that night. "I'll make sure of that,"
"Ge, you're the best!," Tao whooped happily, giving his leader a bear hug. Which the other returned with a smile.
"How are you going to get Kyungsoo's food then?," Kai asked breaking those two apart. He blinked from Kris to Tao and back to Kris again.
"Doing aegyo will only earn him points to get food for all of you M members," Chanyeol stated.
Kris cringed at the word "aegyo". Why did they have to bring that up again? He was hoping they'd totally forget about the aegyo-thing.
"Come on, Kris hyung, it's easy. Just put your hands up like this. Curl them in slight fists and make those cat pawing or circling moves and give a smile," Sehun offered to teach the other how to do aegyo, because he was the maknae of the K-group and is responsible for doing aegyo at shows and performances.
All the other members started to laugh. Kris didn't look amused at all.
"I am going to pretend that I haven't seen that or heard any of those words you said Sehun," Kris responded.
"Oh come on, it's just a small thing," Chanyeol was getting impatient, because he wasn't getting any show as he'd expected.
"Why don't Xiumin hyung do it then. He has the look and the face for it," Kris opted.
"Uh...?," Xiumin looked surprised as he was suddenly dragged into the whole discussion. Chen burst out laughing next to him.
"No, we want YOU to do the aegyo," Chanyeol stated.
Kris was about to retort, but the sudden cry coming from Kyungsoo brought all of them to shut up and look wide eyed at the smallest member. He had been sitting there quietly throughout the whole conversation and couldn't take it anymore. Why such a big fuss over eating his food or not? If they were this difficult then he'd rather not cook at all. They can all suffer together then.
"Enough! All of you... I ain't going to cook anymore. Go buy yourself some food," Kyungsoo huffed out as he got up and stomped away with his towel.
The others watched with awed and disappointed eyes. They were getting no delicious home cooked food anymore. The end.
"Ahh..., well... let's get take out then," Chanyeol chirped, being the happy virus as he is and the one who always manages to break the utmost oddest tensions.
"What should we get then?," Sehun and Kai asked at the same time.
"Let's write down and then we do rock, scissor and paper, see which food wins," Suho stated.
"Alright~!," Baekhyun jumped up from the floor to go over to the corner and get a piece of paper, so he could write down whatever food they could possibly eat that night.
"Uhm... what are we going to do then?," Chen spoke for the first time since Kyungsoo's sudden outburst.
"I can make ramen for all of you," Xiumin offered.
"Ramen it is then," Kris stated.
Tao gave an you-got-to-be-fucking-kidding-me look at the others. What the heck? He wanted Kyungsoo's food. And now... they are going to eat ramen? Why? That was so unfair.

That night as Kris was getting ready to go to sleep, he didn't expect the maknae sitting in the middle of his bed. With his arms crossed. And his legs too. Giving him a you-got-some-explanation-to-do glare. Kris halted his steps when he saw that, what he dubbed as the "Kung Fu Panda Tao's death glare", pointed right at him. For as far Kris could remember, Tao had never given him that look. After all, he was Tao's favorite hyung and lovable partner. Why would Tao have that look directed to him anyway?
"Uhm...,Tao?," Kris started hesitantly.
"Ge, why don't you like to do aegyo?," Tao promptly asked, his arms still crossed firmly.
Tao was angry, annoyed, pissed. All because of his hyung's fault. Because of his hyung, he couldn't have a decent dinner. Because of his hyung, he couldn't eat Kyungsoo's delicious food. Because of his hyung he had to do with ramen. Only ramen. They almost practically eat ramen every night and that wasn't healthy for everyone's information.
All because his hyung didn't want to do aegyo. Aegyo wasn't that bad right?
"Tao..., it's not something I can do. You know that," Kris sighed, now knowing what Tao's anger was about.
"But, it's just once,"
"I know..., but still I can't get myself to do it. It just... isn't like me at all,"
"It isn't like anyone's either,"
"No, that's not true... look at Sehun... he does aegyo automatically and it... suits him... I guess," Kris sighed as he flopped on his bed, his head lying next to Tao's crossed legs.
"But you could have done it for me," Tao stated. Kris sighed. He was tired of this conversation. Which has been held uncountable times since they debuted on stage.
"I can't do it in front of all of them,"
"Why?,"
"They are going to laugh their heads off,"
"What if you are forced to do it in a show? Would you refuse too? With all thousands of big ogling eyes focusing on you?,"
Tao had a point. And Kris was silence for a moment.
"Time will tell then," Kris replied instead.
Tao started to pout, because he didn't get any answer to his question. There's one thing Tao didn't like and that is when his questions were avoided or left unanswered.
"Come on, Taozi... let's go to sleep. Tomorrow is going to be another day. We have practice and I have to go get that schedule for all of you too," Kris said as he pulled the other out of the crossed legs and arms- position.
They curled up together as Kris tucked both of them beneath the thick blanket. Tao snuggled close to his hyung happily as Kris stroke his head fondly.
"You haven't changed Taozi," Kris commented with a smile.
"Should I?,"
"No..., you stay the way you are,"
"So... you are not going to tell me what you're going to do when you're forced to do aegyo on national television?,"
"No..., because I have no answer to that," Kris replied bluntly.
Tao nodded. He knew his hyung would give him an answer one day. Just not that day.

As days goes by fast, the next week finally came where all of the members had to do the interview. All 12 members of EXO were prepared for the TenCent Celebrity Interview and they were sure it was going to be a success, because they have practiced so many times the previous days.
They were currently taking their seats as their manager spoke to the cameramen and checking on some last errands before they started shooting the interview. As the camera started rolling, the host of the interview did his best to get some information out of all of the members, with the occasional help of a woman translator. After a lot of questioning and answering, they finally were asked to divide in 2 groups and the 1st groups were to align in front so they could start with the game. They had to do sign language a word or whatsoever from the 1st person all the way to the last person, who had to guess what the word was.
As the 1st group got up and prepared themselves with whatever was going to happen, the rest of the others sat on their seats watching amused. The host gave the ready sign and showed the word to the first person. Lay.
Lay who stood as the 1st member of the group started off smoothly, making Baekhyun understand as best as he could. Seeing that Beakhyun understood what he was trying to portray, he seemed satisfied. Baekhyun turned to let Suho see what he could make out of Lay's sign language. All the other members laughed at the way Baekhyun signed with his hand and his face. It was getting more interesting every minute.
"He learned it the same way," the host commented suddenly, so Baekhyun added something of his own.
Suho couldn't help but laugh as he turned to tap Kyungsoo on the shoulder, who was standing in front of him with his back turned. He drew out a rectangle in the air and did his best at what he guessed what Baekhyun tried to 'tell' him. He let a hand slide against his smooth jawline as the others aah-ed and ooh-ed at him. Kyungsoo gave him a blank expression, almost saying what-the-fuck-is-this with his look. The other members continued to laugh either at Kyungsoo's expression or at Suho's sign language.
"Everyone, you can see D.O.'s expression. He looks like he is totally lost," the host commented laughing at the same time.
D.O. didn't give off any signs that he actually understood what Suho was trying to say, but he did his best anyways to let Xiumin see what he understood out of Suho's signs.
The other members were amused and excited to know what D.O. would show Xiumin of course. They were of course laughing at the way D.O. performed, but that didn't stop him from doing what he thought that he understood. He made the same rectangular sign and gave a smile to the camera. Pointing at himself and giving the two thumbsup was everything he showed Xiumin.
"Chen Chen, you are in trouble," came the host's comment as Xiumin tapped Chen's shoulder.
The other had a worried smile on his face as he turned to look at his hyung. He could feel the hope draining out of his body when he heard the host's comment. But he tried anyways. Xiumin showed him a rectangular sign too and just scratched his side of his chin with right thumb. Chen looked at the other with a puzzled look. Xiumin looked back at him and gave his infamous innocent I-don't-know shrug, heaving up both his shoulders with his hands wide open.
As the other members laughed, Chen tried to make out what the word was. He tried to think of something but couldn't. Finally he gave up and squatted down crying out that he didn't know the answer, laughing at the same time. But of course, Lay being the good and sweet member he was, requested for Chen to see the original version so Chen could guess the answer. After Lay portrayed his version, Chen finally answered.
"He answered mirror," the translator woman replied.
The answer was wrong.
"I especially want to know what D.O. think it is. D.O. what do you think it is?," the host directed his question to Kyungsoo who looked surprised, because the Chinese host called his name.
"Because I see you, looking very lost. I really want to know your answer," the translator woman said in Korean to Kyungsoo.
"When I see Suho, I think I knew. Because Suho has the "Prince Syndrome"," Kyungsoo replied quietly.
And so, Kyungsoo answered it right and the others were talking all at once. After that, they were thanked and asked to take their seats again and the 2nd group was asked to come forward. Like the previous group they had to line up in front. Kris as the first member, getting worried and yet not at the same time. They didn't know what kind of words they'd get to start with. As the other members of the second group were forming their positions, he quickly glanced at his youngest dongsaeng, who stood quietly at the other end of the line with both his hands poised on either side of his hips. He nodded, almost subconsciously at the sight of Tao just standing there. Once the host showed the word, Kris couldn't help but burst out laughing embarrassingly.
His inside were screaming like crazy. Why the hell did they have to do this quest? Of all the other things, THEY had to actually do THIS one stupid quest Kris loathed the most. Now it is official. His manly-macho-image is pulled down the drain and he would be laughed at by the others for sure. And he was sure this will continue to follow him for a couple of weeks or probably months! Kris can smack his head at the moment, but he reminded himself that the cameras were rolling and he had no escape route whatsoever this time.
The other members who were now sitting and watching them were amused. FINALLY, they get to see Kris do aegyo. They were SO looking forward to it.
Kris continued to laugh as he held up his right arm and his hand covered his face for a moment before he slid down to the floor all at once, trying to make his embarrassed feeling go away. The other members started to laugh at his laughter. They had a feeling that this was going to be amusing.
Hearing his hyung laugh like that,Tao wanted to turn around so badly and look at what Kris was laughing at. He did turn, only for a second. Tao was getting a bit nervous as he picked on his clothes for a few seconds. Tao felt Sehun hit him a couple of times, just to annoy him as he heard the other laugh at something random. Sehun's hands moved up to massage him on the shoulder.
"Relax," Sehun whispered so only Tao could hear him. Tao stayed quiet as he felt Sehun leaning close behind him and could actually feel hot breath tickling the back of his neck. What was Sehun doing again?
"You smell nice," Sehun whispered, his lips pressed close to his hoodie.
"What?," Tao was confused, but he kept his smile in place. He could still feel Sehun's hands on his shoulders, giving a reassuring squeeze every so often.
Meanwhile, at the other side of the line, Kris was debating whether or not to call the director to stop the whole recording, just so they could erase this scene and do something else instead. But he decided to go against that idea. He looked a bit unsure to the side as a protective arm came up to prop against the other arm as he turned around in position again. It was now or never.
Once the host gave the start sign, Kris gave one tap on Chanyeol's upper arm, making the other turn around. He nodded to himself once he has decided what to do. Chanyeol looked at him with a big smile plastered on his face. With a lot of difficulty, Kris decided to follow what Sehun had taught him the other day. He brought both his hands up making a fist at the same time and brought them close to his face doing the pawing or circling moves. He squeezed his eyes shut for a second before opening them as his lips form a thin line at the same time.
Chanyeol's smile fell off immediately once he saw what Kris did. KRIS DID THE AEGYO!! Someone made a noise in the background, probably feeling goosebumps coming at the sight of Kris doing aegyo. Kris did one last mini-pawing or circling motion with his hands while looking at Chanyeol expectantly. Both his eyebrows were ceased up together as Chanyeol motioned with his hands the that-is-it?-sign. Kris nodded as he made it perfectly clear that that was it with both his perfectly large hands before doing the motion again. As Chanyeol turned around, Kris felt such a relief that he didn't have to repeat that again. He watched Chanyeol do the movement to Luhan. Of course added with somethings of his own. At which the other did a perfectly good job at, but Luhan had this you-got-to-be-fucking-kidding-me expression. After all, Luhan is another one of the members who didn't like to do aegyo either, because he IS manly, even though he had such a beautiful and cute face.
"Chanyeol, you added a lot more actions!," the host commented as more laughter aroused.
And even though Luhan didn't like to do aegyo, he was just perfectly good in it. Kai couldn't help but laugh at Luhan, who started to laugh too at the silliness. Kai turned to tap Sehun and gave out a short laugh before doing the aegyo motions. Sehun brought both his hands up to cover his laughter as he watched the dancer do more aegyo. Sehun couldn't believe what he was seeing at the moment. He turned around to tap Tao and started on doing what he's been responsible for since debut day 1. All cuteness oozed out of him and Tao couldn't help but laugh at the sight of the other maknae. His eyes crinkled as he covered his mouth with his hands. At which Sehun found it probably cute and let both his hands touch Tao's face. Once they finished laughing, Sehun continued on, making 2 peace signs at the end. Tao looked thoughtfully at Sehun, trying to come up with the chinese word of "aegyo".
"Xiao ke ai?," Tao asked confusion written all over his face.
The others looked at him expectantly. He asked Sehun to do it again at which the other did of course.
"One more chance, last time!," the host said.
Kris tried to give Tao a sign at the other end of the line, hoping that Tao would answer correctly. But Tao still looked a bit confused as Sehun tried to show him once more.
"Let's see Kris do it!," the host suddenly suggested.
"Wah? I don't want," Kris brought out a bit panicky.
Kris started to laugh embarrassingly again, trying to decline the suggestion.
"Let's see the first one, Kris! The original one!," the man said.
Kris sighed knowing that he had no other choice, because they were on national television, so he had to do what was told. Well, at least he was doing it for Tao to see it. The original version to be exact. He brought up both his curled up fists and did the circling motion and then gave a peace sign with the right hand close to his right eye. At last, he added another scene which he didn't do in the beginning. Holding both his hands open under his chin, making a V-sign with them and a small pout. All motions forced of course.
"Aarrghh~!!," Chanyeol, Luhan and Sehun cried out as they felt as if they were electrified by the Kris-aegyo. All fingers were curled up at once, making the others laugh at them now.
All, except Tao. He just looked dumbfounded at Kris who looked back at him hopefully. Kris felt his hope drain every second and finally he fell on the floor, both his hands landing on the floor and his head lowered. Kris was on his hunches now, head still lowered.
"Don't feel stressed," came out from the host as the rest continued to laugh.
Tao was still trying to guess what the word was as Kris got up and looked at him with a come-on-you-know-this-answer-Tao look.
"Aegyo?," Tao answered hesitantly.
The woman translated it for the host and said he answered correctly in Korean, but still hadn't found out what the Chinese word for aegyo was. While the woman was busy translating for the host, the members were all talking incoherently to each other. Tao stepped out of the line to look at his duizhang, who looked right back at him. Then came the answer and he was a bit disappointed that he couldn't even say "aegyo" in Chinese.
Finally after they have wrapped up everything, they were free to go home and do whatever they want. That night, Kyungsoo cooked for all of them and they still laughed at Kris for doing the aegyo. Kris was of course, totally NOT amused throughout the whole night, even right after the interview shoot, they started teasing him until dinner time.
When the clock finally struck 11 PM, all 12 boys decided to hit for the hay, because they had to get up early the next day.
Tao was still smiling, the moment Kris entered their shared bedroom. Kris had this infamous annoyed-bitch-look on his face as he looked at the maknae.
"What?," Kris didn't mean to sound harsh, but it was hard enough that he had to do this aegyo thing and get teased by the other members for the rest of the night. And probably the upcoming days and weeks.
"Ge, you are cute when you do aegyo," Tao commented. "See, aegyo is not that bad"
"Ugh, Tao... not again," Kris sighed out tiredly, flopping down on his bed.
"No, but I am-,"
"Tao," Kris' tone gave a warning at which Tao knew immediately.
"I still love you," Tao commented out of nowhere.
Tao blinked at the other slowly as he watched Kris' expression. And all of a sudden, Kris felt his stress and anger go away all at once. It just melted away in a second. Just by merely hearing those words coming out of Tao's lips.
"Come here," Tao scooted closer to his hyung's arms and made himself comfortable.
"Ge, your arms are really warm... and... comfortable," Tao yawned, closing his eyes slowly.
"Hm," was the only reply that came out of Kris' lips. He was too tired to say anything anymore. He just wanted to go to sleep with Tao in his arms.
And so, both Kris and Tao slept together, wishing that the night could be more longer and the day could postpone for further delay. If only there were more hours in a day.
But somewhere in the house, there was only one member who hasn't gone to sleep yet. He was silently cackling to himself while typing and loading the video on the internet furiously, hoping that he'd get lots of comments or reactions to his uploaded video. Who knows, maybe his video would be watched in just a few seconds after he'd uploaded it on youtube.

Aahh... finally finished. Took me quite a while for typing this. 3 days to be exact. It's my first time writing an EXO-fic. Just got into this fandom actually. I actually stopped right after DBSK disbanded. Yeah, I used to write in the DBSK fandom, but then I stopped 2 years ago or probably more.
