I am $400 poorer but now have a car that no longer has a red light saying "Brake" going on and a blaring noise to call my attention to said light. It started Sat. I put in fluid and was fine till Sunday just as I got home from a birthday party. More fluid in and before work Monday a trip to the local garage. They provided a ride to work and repair work was done. I was able to pick it up after work. Had them do an oil change as long as they were at it. Auto is fine now. So am I. It is hard to live where there are no buses or taxi's.

On a brighter note. Our general manager came to me with a problem several weeks ago. He was making repeated trips each week to collect (over $2000) $ from one of the local Bars for ads that had been published.Guy somehow just couldn't put a stamp on an envelope. Boss had hard time reaching the guy when he was physically in bar. So I was asked if I would mind stopping on my way home each Friday to pick up a check. It is literally on my way home. I mean it is right on the road I drive on. First time was not easy (it took 2 trips and 2 phone calls that night) But I learned that if I physically called about noon that day to remind him and ask that if he couldn't be there to please leave check with bartender it worked out just fine. Well last Friday was the last installment and he now has a -0- balance. This afternoon my boss stopped by the office to personally thank me for doing this for him. And to give me a check for $50 as a thank you. Just the verbal thank you was enough for me but the $ will sure come in handy now after paying the car repair bill.

Life is good. Handyman stopped by tonight also. In Mid April I will be getting a load of manure for my garden. Then handyman will till my garden and possibly rake up the leaves that ended up in my yard after I raked last fall. All I have to do is give him a call to set this up after the manure is delivered. He came tonight to see what size my garden plot will be this year. I already have the area staked out that I want tilled. April is so busy for me. I have a lot on the calendar. There are classes to take, and things to do etc. Busy, busy. No time or energy to tackle these things on my own this spring.
