So. I stopped answering messages/comments today when I got down to 1560 in my inbox.
I typed a lot today, lol. I know for sure I have 3 people I need to get back to about larger orders that I didn't get to today. I'm going to work on those tomorrow.
Tomorrow I'm making a run to the post office, and besides those 3 orders, I should be caught up with answering/mailing out things by then. I think. I know for sure that everything that has been paid for will have been shipped by tomorrow (except for one order, but that's a special exception because the post office screwed up and I have to go through it).
I think, and when I say I think, I might start pricing things to include an Advice of Delivery slip. It's kinda like registered mail (which is basically just tracking w/ insurance) but I can keep track of who has received their orders. A lot of issues I have when it comes to mailing things is, especially with the city post office, they just don't look at the addresses or double check the customs labels. If I request an Advice of Delivery slip, then they have to look at the addresses at least in order to write the slip.
I think my worst experience with the city post office was that they accepted it, I paid for it, but it got bounced back because I wrote "United States" rather than "AMERICA" on the package. But, instead of mailing it back to the return address, they tried to find me by going to the American base post office.
Because, FOREIGN NAME = AMERICAN.
And got hit by a car today. Because old Japanese men can't drive. Seriously. guy made a pass at me, floored it straight on the curb, and rolled down the window and started yelling at me in Japanese for being on the curb at a pedestrian cross and then backed up into me hard enough to bump me off the curb into the street. I'm wishing I had reported him to the police now, but I was right in front of work and the only thing that crossed my mind was, "great, I'm probably going to have to make an apology to the mayor or the town or something because I got hit by a car."
Did I mention this guy drove directly on the curb to make a turn to avoid the light? Yeah.
