My new girlfriend
Pastor Melissa Scott wife of the late Pastor Gene Scott is a televangelist out of Los Angeles. She comes on at midnight. I love her. I watch her show way to much for a Jew. But she is kinda hot. OK, more like really hot. So, televangelism being what it is I decided I needed some questions answered. So off to the website I go. There is no contact us link on the sight except for an 800 number. So I call thinking I would get a message or machine.
I was completely startled when the phone was answered by a live person. So startled that my first verbal response was "oh, my". The guy who answered says immediatly, I get that a lot, I bet you were expecting a recorded message.
Anyway, I go on to explain that I watch the show quite often and I kinda dig Pastor Scott, but in order to continue watching I needed some questions answered. My questions of course are what are the churches stance on homosexuality and abortion. The churches response to me is that they are there to teach the word of G*d and that each individual is responsible for their relationship with G*d. That they support all members in living a godly life, however each person interprets what that life should mean. They encourage all members not to judge each others choices and to be supportive. Hmmm. Do they have it right?
The guy on the phone was very nice, very polite and kind. He offered to send me literature, I of course accepted. He didn't even ask me for money, which of course I will send to cover the postage and materials. But I am so shocked at how nice they were.
So now me being me of course I want to go to LA to attend a service. Maybe when I get on LA Ink I can kill 2 birds with one stone.
I bet Pastor Melissa would really like me if she just had a chance to meet me.
