Mother's Day Weekend

Emma was in a co-operative mood and sat down to draw her nai-nai for Mother's Day. She insisted that I help her by drawing nai-nai's 'round head', so apart from the circle (and the 'L' looking thing sticking out from the flower which was scribbled by Elliot), everything else was drawn by her. She did ask me how to draw fingers, so I tried to show her on another piece of paper. She needed fingers just for one hand as 'without fingers how can nai-nai hold the flower?' That explains why the other side didn't need a hand or fingers. 'Nothing to hold what'.

We had a nice quiet breakfast at Picotin on Saturday morning with the Leongs.

The kids had so much fun running around and playing on Isaiah's skate scooter in the compound after that, even though the horses weren't out that morning.

Elliot really loved it! He didn't want to get off.

One for the album

We spent quite a long time there considering it's not a very big area. While the kids were busy playing and I was chatting with some of Emma's ex-teachers at Babies Inc. (which has shifted there), the guys went into Sylvia's Secrets and secretly (no pun intended) booked spa packages for Jo and I as Mother's Day presents!

So after packing the kids off to the grandparent's on Sunday afternoon, we were back again to indulge in our spa treatments...mmm...heavenly...

Baby Miriam was allowed to follow 'cos Jo still had to feed her. It was quite tricky trying to squeeze in the treatment between her feed and nap time but it all worked out well in the end! HH had to opt for a foot reflexology so that he could take care of Miriam while Jo could enjoy the massage.

Later in the afternoon, the kids came back as Emma had wanted a pony ride. It was her first time as she didn't dare to ride the pony at Isaiah's birthday party last year at Gallop Stables. This time, the 'pony' was more of a full-grown horse. She's so short that her legs were way off the saddle, but we were glad she was no longer afraid.

The round was a little pathetic, though...well, I guess you can't expect much for a $2 ride!

After the relaxing afternoon, we headed round the corner to 60s Live Seafood for a scrumptious meal with the grandparents.

Happy Belated Mother's Day to all the mummies and mums-to-be out there!
