So, the other site for my Mt. Sinai internship is at Cornell med center on 72nd and York. They do the MRI scans there for the research I am working with because the machine at Sinai isn't powerful enough for what we need. Apparently, I learned yesterday that when the whole small-private-plane-tragically-crashing-into-nyc-building thing happened, a patient that I was familiar with as having PTSD related to 9/11 was being scanned by Paul, the research coordinator I work for, in the MRI machine at Cornell, which happens to be the same building the plane crashed into. They heard a huge boom and were subsequently evacuated. Whoa, poor guy.
