And mostly, just, I wish my dad was happy. He has everything, and he could have so much more. I don't know what can make someone lose their excitement for life like that. I feel like it's some mystical hidden revelation that makes the whole movie come together at the end. I feel really bad for him, and in turn for my mom too. If it has to do with HIS mother, I despise that. No one deserves that, and I absolutely hate that any parent would be anything but supportive of their child. She is just a controlling, crazy, unbelievable, dull old lady who I hope I never ever resemble or gain qualities of.
The past two weeks have been great. And I hope he stays/progresses. There is SO MUCH, Dad! You should be seeing the world! I've met these 70 year-olds who are having the time of their life! Your drinking should be supplemental to your life, not your life being supplemental to your alcohol. And just because your life is half over doesn't mean it's time to sit down. Get up, look around. It could be yours! Take it! seriously.
