Back again
I'm back from traveling the roads of Canada and the US with my sister. I had a good time, and we saw lots of beautiful scenery and met many friendly people. However, the goal was not to do much of the tourist-y stuff, it was mostly to drive and get her down to Alabama for school. We succeeded. Which means that I saw lots of places I want to visit again when I have more time.
We had fun, and it was nice to spend one-on-one time with Rachel, since we haven't seen each other for a year. We did stop in: Calgary for a day; Moose Jaw for a few hours; a town in Tennessee for a few hours; lunch and free wifi in several different provinces and states; Walmart in Saskatchewan, Illinois, and Alabama; Metropolis, Illinois for pics with Superman; and Hotels in several places. Oh, and IKEA in Atalanta, Georgia.
All that being said, it is nice to be back, sleeping in bed next to my husband, petting our cats, and reading fanfic again.
However, I am looking forward to visiting Rachel again (maybe in the fall, when it isn't so hot and humid - moving boxes of IKEA furniture sucked). And, she is much closer to Orlando and the Harry Potter theme park, so we might just have to go to the theme park and then fly over to Birmingham and visit her. :-D
