You hold me in your embrace.
The deep timbre of your voice strokes my body. The vibration against my back soothes me.
I want you to say it.
Again.
So I ask.
You do.
Don’t ever stop.
You won’t. You promise.
“Lexie,”
It is soft and sweet. Just how I like it.
Hold me closer.
You do.
I smile. No part of me is left untouched.
Your arm is my anchor. Don’t let go.
You won’t. You promise.
It is barely a whisper, but I hear it.
“Lexie,”
I think you’re falling too.
