back in the grind...

... of being completely inefficient.

I am back in Keene, and have spent the entire day sleeping and procrastinating on anything having to do with school. I am getting stuck inside my head and pulling myself down and inward, and I'm reluctant to do anything to stop it.

At least I get to add medication #2 into the blend in just 2 days, but it doesn't help me right now to be here in New England... in the freezing rain and cold and gloom that makes me want to hibernate under my covers all day long and play on my laptop because it is the only thing here that is giving off warmth besides my own body... and i'm not even sure of that.

Yesterday was fun, hanging out with classmates and playing in the snow and walking through the woods until dark, pushing a classmate's car out of a ditch and up a long, icy slope while driving 2 mph to get out of the deep VT woods in craptastic weather... that was possibly the worst road conditions i've ever driven in... and it doesn't make me any less tense to remember that it is just over 11 months ago that I crashed my car in a snow storm. I was thankful for Marnie being in the car with me to reassure me that I was doing fine driving and not to feel pressured to speed up... I think I need that kind of influence on my life too.

I still have 3 courses from fall to finish up:
8-10 page paper
Math Methods Unit study, observation, and self-eval
Integrated Learning theory into practice observations, theme study write up, and self-eval

And starting tomorrow I have 17 credits plus 4 non-credit courses and an internship:
Action geometry and sculpture
Waldorf Curriculum Prep II
Waldorf Administration and Leadership
Waldorf Math Methods and Language Arts
MiddleSchool Painting Workshop
Special Needs
Conceptual Development
School Law
Reading Methods Grades 4-6

It's pretty much overwhelming. I wish I were still on the west coast... I am glad that, as far as I can tell, I will never have to deal with another New England winter again after this year.
