a good weekend of traveling.

so i have had a pretty amazing couple of days. I went back to nashua and did laundry and hung out with the cats a bit, saw a bit of dad here and there, and had dinner with dad candy and brett... where dad and brett and i laughed over farts and sick jokes, and rolled our eyes at candy's ridiculousness when she gets loopy... but i had some scrumptious chicken and mashed potatoes and stuffing and corn and whatnot for dinner, which made my day.

then i went out to stoddard for my friend sarah's 26th birthday party. met a bunch of cool people. hung out with coco and john and alicia while i was there as well, played with dogs, enjoyed the moonlight on the lake and the reflections of the sky on the water. it was too nippy out for my tastes, but fun nonetheless. :) And I sat by the warm woodstove and enjoyed being with pleasant company... though I did make quite the faces about the pot being smoked in the house... I really and truly dispise the smell... gosh, life would be much easier if that wasn't the case! (even candy was smoking up when i went to say goodbye to her as I left Nashua! *shakes head*)

I spent the night, and the bed was the perfect size for just lil' ol' me... My head and feet didn't touch the edges, but I fit just perfectly in the lofted single bed. I got up, and enjoyed the sunlight coming into the cute little house, and helped clean up and with dishes and whatnot. Alicia made everyone breakfast, and we all went down to the lake to eat and play with cats and dogs and enjoy the beautiful autumn weather. (Cold, again... brrrr). Alicia Sarah and I hiked a little hill... Pitcher Mountain... and it was such a rewarding vista for a 5 or 10 minute hike, though I still needed my damn inhaler... I'm so out of shape! Stupid asthma...

Spent the afternoon trying to fix Alicia's door latch problem on her van, and then I ended up just driving her home and bringing her to the grocery store so she could get some food. It was a wonderful weekend. I really enjoy my friends.

My homework, however... my homework resents me.

...oh, and I found some old birthday cards in a trunk i have, from my 16th birthday... made me really miss my friends... especially Kat... sometimes I wonder how friends drift apart. It boggles the mind at times...
