2 Primeval drabbles
Just two Primeval drabbles I wrote a bit ago that I wanted to put up here. Gotta be organized.
Title: My Turn

Summary: They're running at top speed, all those workouts coming to use.

They are running at top speed, all those workouts coming to use. Their guns are gone, now all they can do is run.
“Connor, hurry!” Abby shouts at him.
The Sinraptorid is definitely gaining when suddenly Connor trips. He has an ironic thought as he falls that this has got to be a horror film and why has he been cast as the girl who trips at the worst moment? Connor whirls to get up but its not quick enough.
Connor turns and makes eye contact with Abby just as the dinosaur lands on him. He thinks, 'my turn now.'

Summary: All Conner could think about was burying his face in his pillow to block it out.

Jenny dropped them off after a silent car ride. Connor and Abby climbed the stairs then went in separate directions, speech beyond them. All Connor could think about was burying his face in his pillow to block it out.
“Just sit with me...”
The whole thing kept playing in his head. First Stephen and that had hurt; now Cutter which hurt much more.
Up in his room Connor collapsed face first on his bed. For a moment he felt peaceful, just good to be home, away from thought. Then he could smell Nick on his pillow and the tears flowed.
