okay, so i've never been one to be very open about ANYTHING with my parents - AT ALL - as many of you may know, but yesterday.....
during the total of twelve hours i spent in the car with only my mother driving to and from tallahassee: we had THE TALK.
not the "this is how it works" talk, but the "listen, mom, here's the deal" talk.
AND I'M STILL ALIVE TO TELL YOU ABOUT IT!!! MIRACLE OF MIRACLES!!!
I HAVE A COOL MOM! WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED???
so after all the, "yeah, i'm safe about it, no, it's not because i need validation from guys," parts, i ask her, "so are you surprised?"
and the little jerk! she goes, "nah. not really."
