I have been slackerific of late with my updating, so my bad on that front.
But it was for a good reason, really it was.
I has the employment again!
To be technical, I have a temp assignment that has an indefinite end date, with a slimish chance of permanence.
It is clear out in Beaverton, so it's about an hour and a half to two hour commute there and back, with some heavy hiking mixed in, but eh, my butt was getting too big anyways. ;)
I finished up my first week and training, with more to come next week and possibly the next after that, so it's only five hours a day five days a week right now, but that's not too bad considering.
It does mean that health benefits are delayed by a few more weeks, but that's live withable as well.
Basically, the company processes and updates credit info on loan applications that are a little off.
That can mean something as simple as an account needs to have a duplicate account removed before it can be processed, or it can require us to call the credit agencies to check to see if the borrower paid his accounts on time and what his balance is.
All kinds of different thing, which does make the job a little hard, since it's not one set task, but once you get going, it makes more sense.
My fellow trainees are pretty nice, and we actually like each other enough to chat.
It's not going to be all that easy, but I think I can manage to like this job a lot.
