again-its amazing!
Two days in a row, im going for a record here. I had a pretty low key day today. I woke up and rolled out of bed. My husband made me coffee and i had a smoke and coffee and read for a little while on the couch. My usual routine for a saturday morning. I waited for nadine to wake up so we could proceed with cleaning her room as planned. I set down a time frame, she had to have her room compltly cleaned in two weeks or else i was going in there and cleaning it. I just couldnt stand it any longer. Besides i wanted her to start the new school year off right. with a nice clean room. Gary said he could here her still up at 2 am this morning throwing stuff away. But when she got up i gave her about 45 minutes to straighten things up and then i went in to help her finish. At first i think she was really apprehensive that i was going to go 'through' her stuff. but that wasnt my intention, and she started to ease up when she realized that. whenever i came across a section that had lots of papers and things i let her go through them first. mostly i just fllowed behind her throwoing trash away. it actually wasnt as bad as i feared. i was really afraid i was going to find something with legs in there. So after 3 hours, 4 bags of trash, a sinkful of dishes, and two cups of coffee the room has finally been cleaned. Just a few more details like straightening out her cords to her computer and vaccuuming. but on in all it went a lot better than i had hoped. and fairly quick too. thought i was going to be cleaning all day.
So after i got as far as i could with helping nadine, i asked gary if he would like to go out to eat for dinner tonight. I knew i was going to be in no mood to cook anything after cleaning and he agreed, but first he had to go run an errand. so while he was gone i decided to lay down (i dont understand why im always tired on the weekends, i dont know if i need to catch with sleep or if i sleep cause i can) but after i woke up gary still wasnt home. So i called mer to find out if she wanted to join us for dinner.. i did a little picking up and tooling around while i waited for gary to come back. when 6:00 rolled around i called his cell to find out he was still helping a friend, he told me and mer to go on without him and if he finished he would meet us there. So me and mer went to islands (my suggestion this time!) had a nice dinner and then grabbed some starbucks on our way out. gary wasnt able to meet us after all which bummed me out, but i called him before i left to find out if he wanted anything from islands and he declined. So now im home sipping coffee waiting for gary to get home and updating before i go to sleep. Tomorrow i am on a mission to find gary a bday present. it seems to get harder every year that we are together. I mean what do I get him that I havnt already gotten him over and over? besides that i have to compete with the ipod he got me for my bday just last month. not that gary expects anything with a large price tag on it, but you have to admit it would be pretty lame for me to get him say, a pair of socks, after the nice gift (which i love) that he got me. So its literally going to be a quest. oh yea, and im going out to breakfast with my mom tomorrow morning so we we'll see how that goes. Its a game to see if i can get away from breakfast unirritated LOL. but im bringing my camera, so hopefully i will have some new pics to post by tomorrow.
I feel like today was a very accomplished day. I even gathered what few plants i have around the house, 'dusted' the leaves with a wet cloth, trimmed them and gave them a good watering and spraying. my dishes are all back from the abyess of nadine's room, and clean and im even catching up on here. so hopefully tomorrow will be as good, and if not i still have one more day off! yay!
