blah-di-blah.
had an OPG. i have no idea what that stands for, but it's an x-ray of my jaw, all the teeth and showing quite clearly the badness within. I have two impacted wisdom teeth - one just over the top of another tooth, which is causing infections and a whooping great hole in its neighbour. On the other side, the wisdom tooth is hooked under the one beside it. Otherwise, its just a few fillings.
FUCK. Three teeth need to come out, maybe 4 if they cant extract the embedded wisdom tooth without a problem. Goddess knows when i'm going to get this done. if all goes well i'll be in another place in a few weeks time - robin is visiting in two weeks, i'm in newcastle next week, ebe is coming down sometime, fathers day is somewhere in the middle - not to mention my complete inability to take any more time off work. GAH
Day surgery on wednesday. fasting already. d'oh! this sucks. no smoking, no food (which is kinda good, because, suprise surprise, hurts my teeth), no fricken sanity left by weeks end, i assure you.
anyway.
carl - uber sorry i didn't cach you on the weekend. Apart from those few minutes online at dicksmith (to anyone: dick smiths is nothing like it used to be! commercial bastards!) i didn't get a chance to get online sat or sunday night. :( :(

well i've come to the conclusion i am not myself. i haven't been to the cinema since.. well, only two weeks, but i've had several opportunities since then, and i haven't felt up to going to see a flick. Not that there is much on. Rented out a few dvds (note to self - return them before 7pm!!) - Thirteen days (which i didn't end up watching), Best In Show, (which is midly amusing, and has my darling Teryl for a whole 20 seconds, Colin Cunningham as the New York Butcher, and General Hammond - er.. Don S Davis as the Best In Show Judge..) and Dungeons and Dragons, which i never got round to seeing till now. Corny, silly but a lot of fun. Easy to see the parallels to the RPG - but still not quite the movie i thought it would be. but hmmm.. Thora Birch.. *drool* and pritty dragons!! weee!!
Mum and i also made dad sit through all of FOTR. BWHAHAHHAHAHAH. he wasn't too keen on the film, but sat through it for our sake.
Couldn't believe the difference on the 'small screen'... Just so many details missing, but also... the feel of the film... The greatest thing in the cinema was feeling part of the action, the fight scenes - all up close and gory and loud and so fast paced - the grandure and 'other worldliness' was completely lost on the Tv screen.. :( Shame dat. I hope this is a film they continue to show on the big screen every now and then... you know, revivals, before the next installment, then marathons and repeated viewings over the coming years.
*hums to self* had so many things i needed to do today. cant remember a friggin one of them. Oh well. *continues to hum and stare off into space....*
