saturday musings
So it's Saturday around 10 am and I've already been up for more than 3 hours. I know I know on a saturday why in the world did i get up before 7am. Well truth be told I had to drop off my car at VW to get looked at (why I have to pay $95 for them to hook a cord to my engine and a computer and take 3 minutes to read what the diagnostic says I have no idea but that's what I have to do) and then Jym and I went to breakfast and then he had to go to work.
So I'm here waiting for VW to call and I've been surfing the net (or job looking as the case may be) and decided since it had been a while I would post.
So not a whole lot going on other than I'm a little discontent with my job right now and feel like i do more than I get paid for. So I have a meeting with my boss on friday that hopefully won't be rescheduled again so I can talk to him about money. I hate doing it and it goes against every nerve in my being because I think you should receive a raise if you work hard and do good work but unfortunately that's not how the business world works so I will suck it up and hopefully grow a pair and ask for a raise. If i get shot down then I will start applying for jobs closer to home and noone can blame me because I gave them the opportunity to keep me around.
The new apartment on the other hand is fantastic. For the most part its all put away although there is a few things that need to find a home but I'm sure at some point I'll find that for them. There is stuff hung on the walls and it's really starting to feel like home. Plus i love my kitchen. :)
So the month of june is crazy busy but it's looking to be a really good one. This weekend is fairly low key but next weekend we're going camping with some friends, the weekend after that Jym's mom and sister(s) (hopefully both kait and kel will be able to come but we'll see) are coming to visit and the weekend after that we're flying to nh for my parents annual 4th of july party (this year on the 30th of june) and then it's july. So that's about it and I'm sure this is long enough now that noone wants to read any more. I will try to post a bit more but check out pics at www.flickr/photos/mel317 (I update those about as much as I update this and I haven't quite figured out how to do sets yet)... till the next time.
