listen, i haven't written in awhile. it's been busy. very very busy. next week is thanksgiving break and i can't wait to have a BREAK. so much homework and just work in general for my classes. ragtime closed yesterday and we're already in the middle of callbacks for next semester's season. i'm in the top 4 for mrs. antrobus in the skin of our teeth and i want that part so badly i can taste it. i feel like everytime i talk about it, i jinx my chances. and of course 2 of the 3 other girls are good friends of mine, one of which is pretty much my exact type, so i don't know how it's going to be decided. it's out of my hands. bah.
i also had a dance callback for the frogs last night. i wasn't called back to read for a role, but i don't think there are any roles in there for me, so i was surprised to get a callback in the first place. didn't get called back for reefer madness, but i expected that. jack likes certain people. however he didn't call back a couple of other people that really surprised me. so who knows what's happening. i've definately become a fan of the movie. hysterical. for good, clean, pretty-much-sacrilegious-fun, i recommend the song "listen to jesus, jimmy".
ragtime was exhausting, and the performances ended up being way more fulfilling than the rehearsal time. we all hated rehearsal. there were always conflicts within the production team which left the cast with really low morale most of the time. but once we opened, it was awesome. we had full houses every night, standing ovations every night and amazing reviews from about 4 or 5 papers.
ryan and i are still going strong. almost 11 months! crazy! we're going up to his parents's place for thanksgiving and i've already promised to make potatoes romanov to contribute to the dinner. it's going to be SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD. what is also going to be good is the time i will have leading up to thanksgiving day to clean this apartment top to bottom.
i'm starving. i'm sleepy. i'm behind on homework. i shall now take care of those needs in not necessarily that order.
