On Sunday, I was looking for something to do with my sister, since I'd missed most of her birthday. I discovered that a local movie theatre was showing a Lord of the Rings marathon. Since we're both huge fans, we went to that. It turned out to be the extended editions, so we were there until well after midnight, but it was sooooo worth it. Several things I learned:
1. I'd forgotten how loud those movies are in theatres. :p
2. I'd forgotten how wonderfully detailed they are. You miss that watching them at home.
3. I still cry, laugh, feel breathless, and want to cheer in all the right places.
4. I still want my own epic soundtrack.
5. I am still incredibly inspired by the actors.
6. I still feel immensely sad when it ends.
It's gratifying to know that some things never change.
