A little while ago, in an ill-fated attempt to corrupt
rionaleonhart to the ways of Ant and Dec (I only suceeded in scarring her for life with the video for
Lets Get Ready To Rhumble) I compiled
a list of links to various Ant and Dec clips on youtube. 'It is a shame,' thought I, as I selflessly trawled the search function, 'that there aren't more of their pop videos up'.
I think someone heard me.
Perfect. Featuring: Ant pining by a window while Dec gets it on with a random blonde in the next room, the Donnelly six-pack (funsize) on full display, and Ant's lashes in all their quite frankly remarkable glory.
Eternal Love. Featuring: Dec's earnest expression, Ant's interesting neck dancing, and the growing suspicion that the original intent was that everyone in the video is dead.
Alternately: Eternal Love, in which it sounds far too much like a romantic duet, so some girls are drafted in. I'm well aware this could be the synopsis for the vast majority of videos on this list, so don't write in to complain! ;)
U Krazy Katz. Featuring: David Walliams (yes, really), terrible continuity, the now traditional blonde girl for Dec and brunette for Ant, Dec's fancy footwork, and Ant making 'meow' the sexiest word in the English language from 1996 until James May first opened his gob on TV.
Better Watch Out. Featuring: DECLAN DONNELLY WITH GINGER HAIR, a fantastic Avengers sort of 60s vibe, the most disturbing haircut a man with a large forehead can possibly have, the World's worst gangsters, Ant getting two brunettes, and the growing suspicion that everyone involved was having an absolute ball making this.
Falling. Featuring: Dec's acting, the World's scariest taxi driver, hero!Dec saving the World's least convincing suicide attempt, and the worst private eye in the history of film. Also featuring: Ant not having much to do.
Shout. Quite possibly the weirdest pop video ever made. Featuring: Intense!Ant, Dec in a scrummy leather jacket, our boys holed up together in a fleabag motel, more gangsters, a possible assassin, and a man delivering ice WTF.
We're On The Ball. Probably doesn't really count, since they came out of musical retirement to do it, but Dec dressed as David Beckham never gets old, so it's on the list. Featuring: disturbing (though thankfully fake) facial hair, bizarre Mission: Impossible ripoffs, and a lively trumpet riff. Just ignore the terrible lyrics.
Special Bonus Feature:
This. No, I'm not telling you what it is, just watch it. And no, I didn't make it, but I salute the fangirl who did.
