Even OH (who has not liked either new Doctor) commented on the snark between them. I found the bit with the 'family' a bit Mills and Boone (not that I have ever read any). Is it as surprise that Thomas Hardy is my favourite author? More realistic endings (though in the case of Jude, just too brutal).
It was a bit too tidy, wasn't it? But it was kind of what was needed - get rid of Rose and you HAVE to get rid of Mickey and Jackie. It could have been a little less mawkish, though.
I think I would have not made the retching noises if they'd left out the new baby. Rose getting a version of her Dad is just unbelievable to me. He is not her Dad - just someone who looks like him.
I think I need to go and learn how to structure a sentence! *blushes*
I think they could have still done the ending without the parents involved at all - and had Mickey as the one pulling her through...perhaps had them tracking the Cybermen from their dimension to another and then to the 'real world' (hence pseudo-daddy is explained away). This is far too convoluted I'm sure and one of the very many reasons that RTD earns his living the way he does and I do what I do.

If you want to hit Rusty with the Clue-By-Four, I'll hold him down :)
