Fire Update
So the "Marek" fire, which is the one close to my house is now:
39 structures destroyed
4,824 acres burned
70% contained
I think the Marek fire was the one that killed the bum and his dog too. >_>
This is the fire that started early Sunday morning, they said it was over Sunday evening and then came back full-force in the middle of the night Sunday night. So...I'm not holding my breath. 70% contained with the winds as bad as they are here just means it's smaller than it was yesterday. :/
It seems like the other big fire "the Sesnon fire" is still going strong and heading southwest along the winds. So far, they've been able to save the homes though. Which is good. Sheesh. I wonder if it will make it all the way to the ocean before it stops. >_>
Haven't seen any reports on San Bernardino yet, but hopefully that's all under control now.
It worries me that it will get worse since the winds get stronger closer to the beach. Ugh.
And yay...the rich text for LJ is working with my flock browser again.
