Mixed Vegetables.
Hanayu Ashitaba is the daughter of the celebrated Patisserie Ashitaba, but all she wants to do is be a sushi chef. Hayato Hyuga is the son of the prestigious Sushi Hyuga, and all he wants to do is be a pastry chef! It's love and leftovers in the Oikawa High School Cooking Department as these star-crossed gourmands do their best to reach their cuisine dreams!
Hanayu knows that it will break her parents' hearts if she defects from the bakery to become a sushi chef. But if she marries into a sushi family, they'll have to understand her decision. Now she just has to get Hayato Hyuga interested in her, and what better way than to wow him with her cooking skills?

The first volume synopsis is okay, but the story is actually somewhat surprising from what it leads you to believe going into the book. And...okay, wow, I love this manga so far. It is so cute, and funny with a good plot. I like the characters, all of them. So far so good. Hanayu is a really funny girl with some interesting ideas about love and marriage. Her parents are really interesting too (what little bit we see and learn about them.) Hayato seems like a really cool guy, he keeps surprising me actually. I like the little details the manga artist did like changing his earring with each outfit. XD
BUT CLIFFHANGER! GAHAAAAHAAHHH!!! Such a cliffie at the end of volume one! It's gonna kill me until I can read more. *flails*
Definitely recommend this manga. So far, so good!
