So I'm sick in bed.
Sean comes in the bedroom and launched a TigerDirect.com catalog at my head and says, "Pick out a new desktop."

I don't WANT a new desktop. I just bought a new laptop because I *had* to and I *hate* moving into new computes. It takes forever to get them all customized the way I like them. The last thing I want right now is ANOTHER brand new computer.
AT PRESENT, I am working on a macbook and it's literally sitting on top of my HP notebook. The one that I cheaped out on and bought refurbished and that I think I broke when I smacked my eyeball into it since now the wireless modem refuses to work. >_> How many computers do we have to own? For serious! My new laptop is going to make #7.
So I flip through the catalog anyways because, damn, I just have to. Some of the wicked cool looking gamer towers got me drooling. I found a few other things I liked, but NONE OF THE CPUs blew my skirt up AT ALL. In fact, while the prices were pretty good, the performance was well below my standards of what I'd be looking for if I was going to be forced to upgrade.
No...seriously. I don't want another CPU unless I can get a dual or quad processor that is over 3 GHZ, minimum. I want at least 4 GB of RAM, the more the better and 1 TB of HD space. Is that REALLY to much to ask for in a computer? For reals. I could probably build one, and I loved, loved, loved my last custom machine, but custom builds are a pain to build. I really don't have the time. Why can't I just get a kick ass computer out the door?
Anyways...of the current offerings from what I do have, it would be downgrading. (WTH? How is that even possible?) The current computer I have I got about a year and a half ago, but IS IT A LEMON.
I've had LEMONY computers before, but this one takes the cake. It loves to blue screen on me. FOR NO REASON, it can't capture images on IE or Firefox and it has some other serious issues. I'm always forcing it to work, I'd hate to see someone less geeky than me trying to work it, but heh...whatever. It works...usually.
So I don't really want another desktop. I think I'd rather wipe my OS on my lemon and start it fresh since the parts inside are better than what the current offerings are. Though, I suspect that the disconnect on my computers lemoniness is actually a hardware issue. If it wasn't, I would have succeeded in beating the thing into submission by now. >_>
Anyways, what I really want is the new iPhone wannabe that is actually better than the iPhone that Sprint/Samsung just released. THE INSTINCT.

So I've been waiting for Sprint to either get the iPhone or get something like it. These babies just hit the market and I'm dying to get one. Sean says "You have to get a new desktop first." Boooo! Boooo!!! I don't want a new desktop, just get me the new phone! Sheesh.
It's just that...having a phone that I can process Otaku Fuel stuff on while I'm out of the house would really give me more freedom.
I guess we'll see what happens.
