Nope, that is not the result of me being bored. Those little squiggles actually mean something, and they really frustrated me three days ago. Because, you see, I had a pre-test on these little squiggles a few days ago and I failed fantastically. So today I decided to spend time trying to learn the squiggles, which we journalists call 'teeline shorthand', because I don't want to fail the actual test which is in a few days time. I know. Me, studying? Actually spending time to learn something? Shock horror. But it's true! And now I'm proud that I did. Generally I leave things till the last minute and cram the night before. Fortunately, I have learnt from the past and will probably not fail this week's test. However, how well I go in the test, well.....that's going to depend on how much I cram the night before the test.
