And winter is upon us

So! Halloween, my second favorite holiday to Christmas, was awesome. I went to visit Karen at UWSP the weekend before for an overdue girls re-charge weekend. I got to practice with the cheerleading squad, then went with them to a game. After that it was to a cheerleader's house for a Halloween costume party. Yeah, we looked hot. She was a pirate and I wore my bellydancer costume. It was really fun, really was. We have some righteous pictures. We called Mike the DJ and he played a song for us poor souls stuck in the middle of Wisconsin.

Karen and I toured the town shopping on Saturday, saw a guy play in a coffee shop, then saw a real concert pianist who totally played the beethoven theme from the pump it up dance game that had our legs twitching in our seats. Saturday night got all dressed up and went out, looking almost the exact same. Hey, great taste, right? We ran into some really cool people she'd studied abroad with at our second stop. We spent the night with them til the whole crew moved for some early morning subs. After the game in the morning...later that day?, I went home. The drives really were nice and relaxing and pretty with all the colors.

The weekend of Halloween there were many parties...I went to my old roommates (with my costume and Damon in the scream ensemble) and didnt see her, she was so drunk, but saw Leo from the dorms! Karen and I went to his 11-11 partylast weekend. The next night we dressed up again and went to a filmmaker friend's of Damon's, stopped to see Randall and Roger, and ended at Damon's twin's house. The next night Damon's old band and some friends were in from LA so we all went out. And Monday of course was Halloween. Peter was Luke Skywalker, so I dressed up like Princess Leia and we spent the day at the mall. It was so fun....and I kept getting free rides from this one operator :)

Monday the 1st was the show with the old band, and the filmmaker I'd met came to make a live DVD. That Friday he invided us all back for a little wrap/goodbye party. The coolest stuff has happened since then though...I sent him a nice thankyou email and asked if he'd like to work on a pirate action movie I've been writing. Wouldn't you know...he's excited about it! Now I am too! I was just writing for fun, now it's actually becoming real. I'm making a movie! So I'll be talking to him this weekend. And the play I've been writing for the contest at my school, (a drama/comedy about walking a picket like) is doing extremely well in its preliminary appearances. My teacher says I have natural rhythm, and that I'm very talented, and the department needs me! Sorry to brag, but Im really excited and feeling proud! Enjoy the snow with a child, or like a child. Much love!
