BTW, I feel the same way and everyone has always told me the same thing: in relationships one person always ends up liking the other one way more than the other one. I agree, and I also think it's a balance of things:
K = Love 1 + Love 2
K is the love constant or 1.00 and it always remains the same. However, it IS variable, but kept at 1 for simplicity. Obviously two people that just fuck are going to love each other way less than two people in a 10 year relationship. Therefore, for simplicities sake, for two people to love each other equally Love 1 = Love 2 = .5.
For the longest time when you were dating Nick the ratio was Love 1 (Nick) = 0.75 and Love 2 (Bekah) = 0.25. This means crazy shit for your love ratio:
Love Ratio 1 = Love 1/Love 2 (it's the reverse if you want your part of the love ratio)
This means he loved you 3 times more than you loved him. He realized this and attempted to tip the balances. Once he upset the balance, his love was =0.05 and your love was =0.95.
At that point you went crazy and tried to get the former ratio back. The best you could do was yours = 0.70 and his =0.30. Now that you dumped him out of frustration that you couldn't get it back, his love has returned to more like 0.95. You've essentially reversed the situation on it.
