Ten years ago: I went on a group camping trip to Cornwall with my local Youth (Youff) Centre. I had an all-consuming crush on my neighbour Ian Wood - awww, those were the days. I was a grunge chick - cropped short, bright red hair and I loved all things tie dyed and combat. The dark days of cellulite were yet to haunt me *sigh*...I was more concerned with my flat chest - awww, those were the days. Memories from that Summer are skinny dipping with Ian; loving the freedom of rollar skating around the camp site; nearly burning the kitchen tent down and breaking down in a phone box after being told I´d passed all my GCSEs. Bless.
Five Years ago: I had just returned from my amazing year abroad in Paris and was on the verge of leaving for America. My virgin trip. My girls
smella, J-Mo and I spent a month travelling to NYC, LA and San Francisco. Good times ladies. Good times. Oh, and I ate faaar too much diner food and got fat.
One year ago: I was living as an aupair for a fabulous Catalan family here in Spain. I was loving my friends and home, but my weight was at an all-time low having suffered from food panic attacks for the previous 6 months - I have a deadly nut allergy and I was convinced everything either contained nuts or traces of, and was not eating properly...or at all. I was clearly worried about other areas of my life (career, love)...food was the one thing I could totally control. Now understanding why I fell over so much last Summer! - low sugar levels, no balance! Or, I could just have been too pissed :-D
Yesterday: I felt ROUGH. My girls
lil_lady and Emma are over (YAY!) and we spent Monday night chatting, analysing and drinking cava till the wee hours...I was supposed to be in bed by 1am! Och well, they are on holiday and I love an excuse to drink bubbly on the beach.
Today: I feel much better after a good night´s sleep and am very excited about tonight´s restaurant reservation at El Genito -
littlemissk would be excited too...It´s all about the garlic beans baby!
Tomorrow: I´ll be sad. My girls are leaving me, Waaaaaaah! :-( It´s lovely having people around who know you so well and are totally comfortable with. British girls rock.
Five snacks I enjoy: Ruffles (so bad for me - I´ve gone cold turkey). Cheddar and crackers smeared with lime pickle. Apple and cheese. Marmite and Dairy Lee/Philadelphia on toast. Fuet (Spanish cured sausage) - Mmmmmmmmm.
Five bands I know the lyrics to MOST of their songs: Pearl Jam, Bush, Rage Against the Machine, The Eagles, Destiny´s Child.
Five things I would do with $100,000,000: 1) Buy my flat in Vilanova 2) Re-decorate and re-furbish!...including my parent´s house 3) Adopt 4) Buy more property- London, Barcelona, NYC 5) Open my own bar/nightclub - Vilanova is desperate for decent music!
Five locations I'd like to run away to: New York, New York. Sydney. Mauritiaus. Edinburgh. Manchester.
Five things I like doing: Sleeping. Buying on play.com. Drinking cava. Surprising my friends. Kissing.
Five things I wish I could wear: Mini skirts (my leg days are over); any style of dress regardless of the cut; my pyjamas (to work); my Chloë heels (without toppling over); my 7 For-All-Mankind jeans (a bit tight this year!)
