“That’s a camera wrap guys! You were all amazing! Let’s all go get some food!” Catherine called enthusiastically as the cast and crew began to embrace each other. As Ashley squeezed Kellan close the feeling was incredibly bittersweet. The last three months had been some of the best of her life, and she wasn’t sure she wanted it all to end. Kellan pulled away as though he knew how she was feeling.
“That’s it…” He murmured.
Ashley nodded, feeling silly as a lump began to form in her throat. She blinked back the tears that lingered behind her copper contacts and sniffed softly. Kellan chuckled, slightly amused.
“Aw Ash don’t be upset…” he smiled, touching her cheek. She flushed with embarrassment.
“I’m not. Contacts are just bugging me…”
“Sure they are.” He kissed her forehead before heading off to find Nikki. Suddenly another pair of strong arms wrapped around Ashley from behind, and she was enveloped by the unique and intoxicating scent of Jackson.
“That’s a wrap wifey…”
Ashley sniffed and nodded, wiping her eyes and sighing softly. Jackson noticed, now turning her in his arms to face him.
“Hey…aw Ash don’t be sad…” He pouted, gently kissing her head. They didn’t dare venture any further in front of others.
“I can’t help it,” she grumbled, hugging to him. “I don’t want this to be over.”
She watched Jackson frown softly as he pulled away a little, his voice soft, for her ears only.
“By this you mean…?”
Ashley shrugged sadly.
“I don’t know. Are we…?”
Before Jackson could answer Nikki and Kellan came bounding over in extreme excitement about recently made dinner plans.
“Come on you guys, let’s get showered and head out, it’s our last night together!” Nikki gushed, hugging Jackson and then Ashley.
“Yea let’s get a move on, the reservation’s for an hour from now”. Kellan nudged Ashley, urging them along. As they went their separate ways Jackson and Ashley’s eyes met, both feeling worried and looking hopeful. As Ashley pulled her wig gently off she sighed.
