Holy moly it's been forever.
This past week and weekend was Big/Little Week, Big/Little Reveal, and Initiation for Alpha Chi, so that was overwhelming. It is very lucky that we have nothing AXO planned until after Thanksgiving because there is a good chance there would be homicide within the chapter, mostly stemming from me. Good lord. Not that this weekend wasn't wonderful and amazing.. just WAY too much.
Good news though, I got on the Orientation staff :) So I am now a SOAR Leader and I am really really excited about it. I am also a part of the Peer Health Education Program and I have my third Spartan Guide interview on Reading Day. Things are looking up, I have started something new that seems to be helping thusfar, and I am very grateful for that.
Also, I am an intern with Skirt! Magazine (Winston-Salem) and it is SO FREAKING AWESOME. I've only been there two weeks but I've already learned so much it's unreal. Not to mention they have already given me work to do and trusted in me to do things right. For example, I got to design the holiday card (which is silly, but was important to me) AND (this is the best part) I got to write a section on Sabrina Ward Harrison's collage notebooks (with a focus on "Spilling Open") and it's going to be featured in the Browse section of the magazine!! Could my life be any cooler? So I just dress up really cute and go to Skirt! and write cool stuff and this week I get to help with the layout of the magazine. Life win. It just rules so much.
And this Friday is the UNCG Game against Clemson and I'm really excited. I hope we win. Bahah.
I think what is helping me survive living on the sorority hall this year is the thought that next year I am going to have an amazing little place with Katie and we're going to have a cat named Junebug and it's just going to be so calm and serene. Ugh. I can't even wait.
I already miss Anna with all of my heart but with that same heart I want her to be happy. I love the heck out of that girl. She doesn't even realize how much she's done for me this semester.
Anyway, that's my life these days. Some days are harder than others, but that's just the way it goes.
