The Judgement of Paris

Apr 06, 2008 16:14

Not a promise of wisdom or glory
Not a bauble of discord and strife
Will I use to fashion my story
But a tragic and beautiful wife

Not her face but my voice will the thousand-
Ship fleet call to death on Troy's shore
When th' Olympians asked themselves how can
We decide who this trinket is for

So be it though I forfeit my own life
For with my choice I have laid claim
To a prize worth far more than this small price:
Time shall ever remember my name.
