Sleeping, Eating, Breathing

I am always tired and ready to fall asleep. Always. Sometimes I take naps, or like today, fall asleep without really planning to and then wake up and realize I have another class reeeaaaally soon. But I still am tired. It doesn't help that whenever I want to go to bed, I end up thinking, "do I have work I should be doing for tomorrow? There must be ( Read more... )

:/ about eating. I am not in the same boat as you, because obviously I go home at the end of my day and have a house filled with food and a stove and even a mama who cooks for me, but my suggestion to you would be to get some protein/snack bars and LHT milk (it can be kept for months without being refrigerated) or juice cartons to grab on your way to class on days when you can't get to the DC for breakfast. I don't know if you have a microwave (I'm pretty sure you don't), but "lean pockets" are good for something light so that you're not starving while you wait for the other DC to open. Get some almonds/other nuts to munch on, or anything packed with protein. I can't think of anything to substitute for meals when you absolutely have to, except things like Ensure meal shakes or other bar-things. I suppose it's better over not eating.

Also, it might be wise to take a multi-vitamin with iron every day. It's possible you're not getting a diverse diet and are lacking vitamins and iron, which will make you feel really tired and probably more awful than you think.

Well, my roommate has a microwave, but I wouldn't want to use it without asking, of course, and she usually sleeps in. Her classes are later.
You may be on to something about lacking iron. I eat no red meat, and don't eat cereal in the morning (which normally has vitamins and iron and stuff). Hm. Thanks for the suggestions!
