A few days later, everything started like any normal morning until everyone got down for breakfast. A couple had seen Heechul storming around but found both Heechul and Hangeng missing from breakfast.

Heechul had woken up to find Hangeng not in bed, even though Heechul had decided to sleep in Geng’s room last night. Heechul looked in the bathroom, closet, his room, the kitchen, the dance studio, the dojo, music room, library, garage, and the backyard where his dogs normally are, but could not find him anywhere. Since all the cars were still in the garage he knew if he left either someone dropped him off or he got a taxi. Heechul also knew Hangeng didn’t have work so he wasn’t there. At this point Heechul was angry and decided to close himself in his room.

"Hyung, where are Heechul and Hangeng?" Kibum asked when Jungsu entered the dinning room.

"Hangeng left and Heechul’s hiding in his room because of it."

"What do you mean Hangeng hyung left?" Sungmin questioned.

"I dropped him off at the airport really early this morning, it’s not my place to share why with all of you now."

"But hyung, how can Hangeng hyung just leave us without saying anything?"

"You guys, trust me, he has his reasons and it will be explained later. Now please just eat. Sungmin when you finish please make a try for me to take up to Heechul."

"Ok hyung." Sungmin answered quietly. Everyone went over the schedule rather quickly but other than that, there was very little conversation. Kyuhyun had wanted to ask Jungsu about Heechul but dropped it seeing the oldest’s mood. Kyuhyun was on dishes with Kibum and from a past conversation with Jongwoon, Kyuhyun knew Kibum was the only other person in the house who knew Heechul as well as Hangeng or Jungsu did.

"Kibum hyung?" Kibum looked over at the younger. "What does Hangeng hyung leaving have to do with Heechul hyung locking himself in his room?"

"Heechul is probably feeling abandoned and Heechul reacts by hiding and closing himself up."

"But why?"

"I only know that Heechul had a hard time in school until Hangeng showed up, so he became rather attached. Even though I’m close to Heechul, to the point I can go without calling him hyung, he never told me everything.""Oh. Didn’t you come from America?"

"Yeah. My family moved to America when I was a kid, but I was born here."

"So how do you know Heechul hyung?"

"From online gaming. We used to go online and play some games together and started talking. I told him one day about getting the chance to move back to Seoul and was looking for a place when Heechul said I had to move in here. When I moved in it was just Jungsu hyung, Heechul, and Hangeng, Jongwoon hyung arrived a few weeks later." Kyuhyun nodded and watched as Kibum left after finishing his half of the dishes. When he finished Kyuhyun headed up to Heechul’s room and found Jungsu standing outside holding the tray of food and yelling at Heechul.

"Heechul just eat!"

"I’m not hungry!"

"Have you actually talked with Hangeng yet?"

"No! He didn’t tell me anything or even leave me a note, why the hell should I talk to him? Besides, he’s only called me once and texted three times, it doesn’t seem like he’s trying too hard." Jungsu sighed and left the tray outside the door and turned to walk away, finally noticing Kyuhyun.

"Oh Kyuhyun, what are you doing?"

"I was just curious about Heechul hyung."

"He is being stubborn like he normally is, you don’t need to worry. I notice you’ve been addressing everyone as hyung now."

"Jongwoon hyung is blackmailing me."

"So I’ve heard, seeing as we were all told to tell him when you don’t address us properly. Though no one knew what he was blackmailing you with."

"He molests my philtrum. Ah it’s just freaky thinking about it." Kyuhyun shuddered and was rubbing his philtrum at the thought of Jongwoon touching his philtrum.

"I know it’s weird but hey, he got what he wanted, so you have to give him props for that." Jungsu said before walking back towards his room. The magnae sighed but headed to Jongwoon’s room, and found Ryeowook talking with Jongwoon.

"Hey Kyu." Jongwoon said once he noticed the younger.

"Sorry, I’m I interrupting something?"

"No…"
"…Yes." Jongwoon and Ryeowook answered at the same time.

"Wookie, we’re not having an important conversation, so he’s not really interrupting anything."

"So what? Since he got here all you have done is spend time with him. When you’re not working either you’re in his room or he’s lying in here. I don’t get any time with you anymore!" Ryeowook yelled before storming out bumping shoulders with Kyuhyun.

"Wookie!" Jongwoon tried to chase after him but Ryeowook had already slammed his door shut. Jungsu was down the hall when he noticed the commotion.

"What’s going on?"

"Ryeowook is upset."

"I see that. But why?"

"I’ve been spending too much time with Jongwoon hyung and he doesn’t like it." Kyuhyun answered for Jongwoon. Jungsu looked at the two and sighed.

"I don’t mean to be harsh, but I’m already dealing with Heechul. Could you guys not blow this up?"

"We’ll try."

"And Jong, you should probably talk to Wookie after he calms down."

"I was planning on that." Before Jungsu had the chance to leave, the house phone rang right next to Jongwoon. "Yeoboseyo? …Hyung it’s Hangeng." He passed the phone over to the eldest and went back into his room, Kyuhyun following.

"Hangeng, you arrived safely?"
"Yes, hyung. I arrived just fine and made it home without any complications. Though my Chinese is a little rough from lack of use."

"That’s good to hear. Not the Chinese but the trip part. How’s your appa?"

"The doctors say he is doing well and should progress nicely and be out of the hospital in a couple of days. He still will need to take it easy once out of the hospital, so I need to stay and help out for a few days."

"Don’t worry Hangeng, take care of your family and then come back home."

"Thanks hyung. How is Heechul?"

"Being Heechul. When you weren’t there this morning he went searching through the whole house looking for you and closed himself up in his room when he couldn’t find you."

"I left him a note." Hangeng sighs. "He must have looked over it or it got moved, but I left one for him. I also tried to call him when I had the chance but he wouldn't pick up."

"He told me this morning that he didn’t find a note and that you had only called him once and sent three texts."

"I sent him one text before I left, then another when I landed. Once I made it to my house I tried calling him since he should be up at that point and he didn't answer my texts. When he didn't answer his phone I sent another text before heading to the hospital. I just left the hospital not that long ago and tried calling him again just before I called the house."

"I’ve tried convincing him to talk to you but he wouldn’t."
"I can't say I'm surprised. Could you see if he would talk to me now?"

"I’ll try. Let me get Kibum first. Because maybe Kibum can either talk him into it, or if need be, help me duct tape the phone to his ear."
"I don't think you need to go that far, hyung."

"I feel like it. This morning has been tiring."
"Sorry hyung, I told you I could've just gotten a taxi, so you didn't have to get up."

"No it’s fine, I wanted to take you. It’s just Heechul, everyone asking questions, and now Wookie is upset. Hold on a second while I talk to Kibum." Jungsu knocked on Kibum’s door and entered after hearing a soft ‘come in’. "Kibum, I need you to help me with Chulie."

"How?"

"Hangeng is on the phone and well Heechul refuses to talk to him, so either try to convince him to talk or we’re going to duct tape the phone to his ear."

"Okay. Let me get the duct tape." Kibum headed back into his closet, reemerging a moment later with a roll of green duct tape. Kibum grabbed the phone from Jungsu as he walked past towards Heechul’s room. "Hey."

"Hi Kbum."

"So where is the note for Heechul?"
"On my desk, right next to where Chulie's glasses were this morning. He should've seen it once he put on his glasses."

"Ok." Kibum handed the phone back to Jungsu and grabbed the spare key to Heechul’s room. Heechul was sitting on his bed, headphones on, holding a pillow to his chest and petting Heebum who was lying next to him. "Heechul, talk to Hangeng." Heechul took off his headphones and looked up at Kibum and Jungsu.

"No."

"Heechul." Jungsu sighed. "Talk to him."

"What part of "no" are you not understanding? I said I’m not going to talk to him and that’s final." Kibum, not feeling like dealing with Heechul’s stubbornness, grabbed Heechul’s arm and dragged him across the hall into Hangeng’s room. "Kibum what the hell are you doing?"

"You’ll see." Kibum let go of Heechul once he got to the desk and Jungsu had blocked the door. He looked on the desk and saw a piece of paper wrinkled and pushed towards the back. He grabbed it and smoothed it out, quickly reading it and discovered it was the note for Heechul. "Here." Kibum passed the note over to Heechul and then headed for the door. "Hyung, let me talk with Hangeng." Jungsu nodded and gave the youngest the phone and watched him leave.

"Is that Hangeng’s note?" Jungsu asked once he turned his attention back to Heechul.

"Yeah."

"And?"

"I guess he didn’t abandon me. Though now I want to know why he didn’t bother to tell me about this in person."

"I only found out last night. I don’t know when he knew though. Will you talk to him now?" Heechul had taken a seat on Hangeng’s bed and just stared at the note. Heechul shook his head.

"No, later. I’ll talk to him later. Just leave me alone for a while?"

"Sure. But eat something, you missed breakfast, don’t skip lunch too." Once he got a nod from the younger, Jungsu quietly left him, closing the door behind him.

"Wookie? Can I come in?" Jongwoon stood outside of Ryeowook’s room waiting for an answer. It was already mid afternoon and most of the others were at work now, but Ryeowook still hadn’t come out of his room. "Please, Wook?"

"Is Kyuhyun with you?"

"No. He’s in his room, playing games." After a moment of silence, the door opened and Ryeowook let Jongwoon in. "What?"

"What’s wrong?"

"I already told you what’s wrong! Since Kyuhyun has arrived all you do is spend your time with him!"

"Yes I know that. But what I’m asking is why is it such a big deal?"

"Because you never have time for me now."

"I have asked you multiple times if you wanted to join us, and you always turn me down."

"I don’t want to be with both of you! I just want to be with you!" Jongwoon was at a loss for words. "I like you! Can’t you see that? But I know you like Kyuhyun so I guess it doesn’t matter." Ryeowook stormed past Jongwoon and left the house.
