Summary: Heechul finds a package on his bed one night.
When Heechul returned to his dorm one evening there was a package placed on his bed. It was wrapped in a simple sapphire blue wrapping paper with no other decorations on it, not even a card saying who it was from. After a minute of studying the box Heechul carefully took off the paper and opened the box. On top was a small card with one line written on it.
"Something to make sure you don’t forget me."
The card was typed so there was no way for Heechul to know whom it was from, but one person was on his mind. He gently set the card down on his bed next to the box before removing the piece of cardboard. What he saw next made him gasp. Hangeng’s favorite shirt was neatly folded on top of two small boxes of dumpling from Mama Han’s shop. Heechul grabbed the shirt and inhaled its scent of the Chinese man and dumplings. Instead of setting the shirt down on his bed with the dumplings he took off his own shirt and put Hangeng’s on, not caring that it was too big for him. Next there was another card and piece of cardboard. He grabbed them both and read the card.
"Something to make sure you don’t forget us."
Removing the next item from the box and flipping it over he found a framed collage of pictures of him and Hangeng.
He stared at the collage for a few minutes, taking in each picture and remembering when each was taken. Under the collage was a banner a fan gave them a couple of years ago. HanChul was written in the middle of the banner, while a cartoon picture of Heechul was on the right and a cartoon Hangeng was drawn on the left. Setting both down on his bed, the man found yet another card placed on top of a piece of cardboard.
"Lastly, something for the future."
Under the cardboard was a small brown box with no decorations. Heechul removed the lid and looked inside. Sitting on the bottom of the box was a small ring with a ruby heart and a diamond on both sides of it.
He slid the ring out of the box and onto his hand, revealing the writing in the bottom of the box. Written on the bottom were seven Chinese characters. 你愿意嫁给我吗？
"What the hell does that mean?" Heechul shouted, not caring if the others heard him, though he was sure no one else was home.
"It means ‘Will you marry me?’" a familiar voice said behind him. He quickly hoped he wasn’t dreaming and turned around to see the Chinese man standing in the doorway. The tears he had been trying to hold back since he grabbed the shirt started to fall down his cheeks.
"When? How? What?" Heechul managed to say as Hangeng walked closer to him.
"You still have to give me an answer," he said, wrapping his hyung into a hug.
"To what?" the older asked, lifting his head off of Hangeng’s chest.
"Will you marry me?"
"If I answer your question, then you have to promise me that you’ll answer all of mine," the older man ordered, pulling out of the embrace to stare at the taller man.
"I promise," the younger said, holding out his pinky to the older man. Heechul connected their pinkies and brought their thumbs together before finally answer Hangeng’s question.
"If it means you’ll always come back to me, then yes. I’ll marry you." Hangeng grabbed Heechul’s hand, grabbing the ring before pulling him into a kiss. Still holding onto his hand Hangeng carefully placed the ring on Heechul’s left ring finger.
"With how long it took you to answer, I thought you were going to say no. But make sure you thank Teukie hyung later," the Chinese man whispered once they broke the kiss. Heechul pulled away and glared at the younger.
"What do you mean I should thank Leeteuk?"
"We’ve been secretly plotting this since I left."
"What? I’m gonna kill him!" Heechul screamed heading out of his room towards the door. "How could I let him plot this behind my back?" Hangeng just chuckled and quietly followed his fiancé.
